Are we all 'skinny challenged' compared to the world?

Bad food choices + too little exercise = Fat.

Looking for more recent reviews on Roundup Rodeo BBQ.

I visited for lunch the 3rd week of August. At first glance, I thought the decor was cute. However, 10 minutes in, it became overstimulating especially when paired with the noise level in that restaurant. The server was nice but overworked. He was running between too many tables so the was a lot...

Flower & Garden Festival @ Epcot Experience/Photos (Shoutout to Walker Mobility for my scooter)

They recycle the SAME displays year after year...it's so disappointing.

Mears Connect doesn't go to Drury Plaza at Disney Springs ?!!

So why does it go to all of the other Disney Springs Hotels except the Drury Plaza?

    Fort Wilderness was Awful

I wish that were the case...but Fort Wilderness has been changing in a very negative way for about 10 years now! Management refuses to enforce any of the rules on the Website, and some people cannot seem to behave properly without the threat of a consequence. It's as simple as that.

    Fort Wilderness was Awful

I strongly disagree with your assumption that I am "too sensitive to noise"; and here's why. I raised 4 lively children, had a child-centered career, and am currently the Grandparent of a one year old with a very healthy set of lungs.:mic: What I am sensitive to is this: large groups of people...

    Fort Wilderness was Awful

I was in Loop 1500; same as always. Unfortunately, my stay did include a weekend which for about the last 7-10 years or so, I normally try to avoid but wasn't able to this trip because of the airline ticket situation.

    Fort Wilderness was Awful

It saddens me to say this, but I did not enjoy my most recent visit to Fort Wilderness at all! My family and I have visited fairly regularly for the past 25 years or so. This last visit (Jan. 2023) had a very different "vibe". It felt crowded, loud, and generally unpleasant. In my Loop, many of...

Adventures of the traveling Fire Pit Version 3.0

I'm interested. I'll be there in early January. How does that work? Do you leave it in the luggage room?

campground reservations modifications changes in the works starting Oct 2022 to ???

Obviously I do not think anyone would begrudge your "single family of ten/ 2 adults and 8 minor children" a campsite at Fort Wilderness.... I also think it's fair to say...

Too bad the fireworks receptions are horrible now.

I hope you will share this with Guest Relations. There have been SO many cuts in quality and services in the past few years; and the cost of a Disney vacation is higher than ever. I believe they need to hear from us. Otherwise they have no incentive to "do better".

    Cabins with a Dog

I was told that they attempt to keep dogs in designated Cabins/Loops so that people with dog allergies aren't accidentally given a Cabin that just had a dog in it.

Visiting the Fort for the campfire. Parking?

You should probably make a Dinner reservation. Otherwise they may not let you past the Guard Gate.

    Communique from the Fort

Go to the Office and ask for a credit/refund for the days you haven't had hot water for showers. That is unacceptable. (It is understandable when problems arise from time to time. However, when it is not attended to for several days!!!? That is not o-kay. Especially at Disney prices.)

    Group trips for solo travellers?

Maybe the DIS boards could do a couple trips per year. I too would be interested.

Ft Wilderness actually was included in the "Bounceback" discount. I booked it on several different occasions...years ago.

    Pool Questions

As mentioned above, there is a Multi-family Pavilion right next to the Pool area. There is also a great deal of shade...so not at all necessary to use a Pop-Up there. Additionally for your consideration....While dogs are welcome at the Fort, there are specific and designated areas for dogs (The...

    Found Cat at Fort Wilderness

There have been SO many lost and loose pets at Ft Wilderness...Hopefully some people will take a lesson from all of this and leave their pets at home where they're safe.
