Rise of the Resistance.....did I notice a change?

Same here, we rode at World last year and thought only they had changed it, was hoping to see that again in a month when we are at DL. Once you did it and know what it’s supposed to do it just feels really weird when the vehicle makes an abrupt stop in that hallway.

Questions for those who've gone last/this week ~

Yes and yes. Was at DL rope drop yesterday and they had it in the hub where you could wait on the left, center or right ropes. We also bought some souvenirs after closing time on main street (ice cream also...).

Would construction noise sway you from DLH to PP?

The whole pool area was pretty crowded in the afternoons and we were always sitting next to other families. It didn’t bother us, but if you really wanted some space it could be an issue.

So NOW DL has low crowds.....

Sorry, that was AM, meaning 5 mins after the park opened, it was already a long line and it stayed the way the whole day. Same with DL on Tuesday with much longer lines than either Saturday or Sunday.

So NOW DL has low crowds.....

To echo the others, Sunday was just crazy short waits and we were thinking we hit the jackpot, but then Monday and Tuesday we ended up waiting in the longest lines I have ever been at for DL. Because previously I would only max pass those attractions. We got into CA at about 8:05 and guardians...

Would construction noise sway you from DLH to PP?

Just came back from 4 nights at DLH and never bothered by construction noise. We stayed in the Frontier tower so I was a bit nervous but it was a non issue. We saw the walls and equipment and could hear some noise when we entered/exited the building but not from the room or by the pool. I...

Has anyone had success booking dining? I mean......for the love of churros!

if that’s for the late afternoon/early evening on Saturday, I’d like to try to snag it.

Has anyone had success booking dining? I mean......for the love of churros!

I was originally waiting for Carthay Circle as well, but decided not to bother for the full meal and have a alfresco lunch for now. We went a number of years ago and it was great. It became a must do and we go back about every other year and each time it's been a bit worse to where the last...

WDW COVID-19 Operational Changes- Reservation System-Rope Drop Procedures

I get that there isn’t a correlation from disease prevention perspective, but I feel like there is a very strong correlation from a PR and corporate responsibility perspective. Around me in SC, we have very few cases (9 with no deaths compared with FL having 28 with 2 deaths - per USA Today) but...

WDW COVID-19 Operational Changes- Reservation System-Rope Drop Procedures

I’ve got a trip coming in April that at this point I’m expecting them to close the parks for. Frankly, it seems amazing that they haven’t closed Disneyland yet given the bans in place across California on large gatherings. What’s a bigger gathering of people than Disney parks? Then once they...

    April 14 to 17 crowds

We will be going then as well, and had the same surprise that the different crowd calendars seem to have wildly different estimates for that week. I'd guess it will be more crowded than those lower estimates but hopefully not as bad as president's week seemed to be.

What’s the best time to ride Storybook Land Canal?

Agree with this, it’s a bit tricky at that time because the line might look short but when they are only running 1 or 2 boats it goes very slow. So, if you catch it right when they start and you’d be in the first couple boats go for it, otherwise it will actually be a shorter wait a bit later...

California Adventure EMH what is your game plan?

When stayed at the GCH a few months ago and there really wasn’t much of a line to use their entrance before EMH and we used that on two different days. We got there maybe 10 minutes before open time and got through in a minute or two and had a few minutes to wait at the rope by Liitle Mermaid...

    Hilton Anaheim Executive Lounge?

If you are diamond (or gold?) you get vouchers to the breakfast but it’s only the continental. You have to pay a step up to the hot buffet (maybe $10 - can’t remember but it wasn’t too much). At least kids get the buffet for free though and it was a pretty decent quality.

POLL: Disneyland Hotel or Grand Californian?

Stayed for the first time at GCH earlier this year following a few years being at DLH. It was great, but really still a bit of a toss up between the two, so I can’t really justify spending that much extra. I’ll definitely be eating dinner one night at Napa Rose no matter where we stay.

    Has Pizza Press Gone Downhill?

When we were there a few weeks ago we had Napolinis and loved it. So much so, that we came back two days later to have it for lunch again. It also felt like a nice way to take a little break in downtown Disney in the middle of the day.

The rumors of Splash Mtn being wetter are true

My daughter and I rode last week and sat in the back and it didn't get too wet, but the two people in the front got way more soaked than they would have in the past. Later we watched for a bit from Tom Sawyer Island and it was surprising how variable it was seeing the splash on that last drop...

    Grand Californian Super Thread

I was there last week and ready to snap some picture of construction progress, but it looked exactly the same as the previous pictures and I never noticed any activity there, so its definitely moving slow. I will say that we rope dropped DCA once and went maybe 20 minutes later the other DCA...

    Upgrading promo ticket from UT

As an update, I was also able to add a day to my UT tickets for an extra $19 (from 3 to 4 parkhopper) and a nice bonus is that I was also able to add max pass for every day for the $10 rate so that basically paid for adding that other day since I was going to add max pass every day anyway. Note...
