You Get a Suite! You Get a Suite! Everybody Gets a Suite! December 2023 Trip Report! (Updated 4/18!)

Oh, how I love that wild boar. I think it may be my favorite bite on property but agree Jiko takes some effort to get to if not staying there and particularly if relying on Disney transportation. I also enjoy the sustainable fish. And the giraffe bread!! I like that they change the menu up...

    Easter Week Reviews

Your daughter looks so happy eating her tacos! I agree with you on the restaurant. The general atmosphere is amazing. The tables being almost on top of each other is not. The food seems to be inconsistent. But give me a margarita and some guac and I'm a happy gal.

    Dining Review - March 2024

Fun wrap-up. I agree that the new(ish) 2-hour cancelation policy has opened up a lot of opportunities. For sure I'd still recommend booking must-do's at 60-days out but, if you're flexible, there's so much available day-of. Trattoria Al Forno ranking so high has me definitely resolving to try...

Solo dining experience - Topolino's dinner?

I wouldn't hesitate! Enjoy!! You can also order from the full menu at the bar if you prefer that to a table.

    Dining Review - March 2024

You have me craving those filet sliders. Sitting out at the dockside bar and having those with some fries is just perfection. Really love the 2-hour cancellation policy - it allows so much more flexibility. Boathouse will do the lobster roll "Connecticut style" (hot with butter) if you'd...

    Dining Review - March 2024

For some reason I always forget about Trattoria Al Forno. Will need to give it a try next time. Love that fish dish at Narcoossee's .... so delicious!

    Dining Review - March 2024

So happy to see another dining report from you! I'm also a big fan of the pre-dinner relaxing cocktail ... what a bummer to be rushed at Narcoossee's and Flying Fish. Both are fantastic though and you ordered my faves - the blackened redfish and the sea bass. So glad you were able to get to...

You Get a Suite! You Get a Suite! Everybody Gets a Suite! December 2023 Trip Report! (Updated 4/18!)

More ideas. The new restaurants over at the Conrad are supposed to be amazing. The "pool bar" - Papaya Club - has some really unique tiki mugs and their rooftop restaurant - Ceiba - is Mexican fine dining. Or I know you like Wine Bar George ... maybe splurge on some of the more rare/exotic...

You Get a Suite! You Get a Suite! Everybody Gets a Suite! December 2023 Trip Report! (Updated 4/18!)

Birthday ideas: Spa day at Grand Floridian or Dolphin or Four Seasons? Special dinner at Bull & Bear (Waldorf Astoria) or Capa (Four Seasons)? Evening safari plus dinner at Jiko - forget what it's called. Tequila tasting at La Cava. Wild Africa Trek? Amphicar ride at Boathouse? If on a...

    4 Newbies and 1 Good-As: A February 2024 Lessons Learned TR

Absolutely loving your report - both writing style and the theme of lessons learned. And I too am a footnote fan! I'm also very impressed by how much research you clearly did before the trip. Kudos to you!! Rough start to the trip with the stress of getting to A&C and then MK rides being a...

You Get a Suite! You Get a Suite! Everybody Gets a Suite! December 2023 Trip Report! (Updated 4/18!)

Oh my goodness a balcony Q&A sounds so cool! You have sold me on a weekend staycation at AKL concierge. Crossing my fingers you enjoyed Jiko as that's historically been one of my favorites.

Best Bars on the monorail loop?

At the Grand Floridian, Enchanted Rose is terrific but sitting at the bar at Citrico's and/or Narccoossees are also great options. The bar at California Grill is pretty small so you might want to rope drop that one. It's not exciting from a theme/decor standpoint but the bar at Steakhouse 71...

    Kevin-John Jobczynski

I commissioned him for some work, and he has basically ceased all communications - after accepting payment. It's very frustrating and disappointing.

BWV Studio vs BCV 1 Bedroom Dilemma

Another vote for the BCV 1-bedroom ... but echo the caution of other posters that once you experience the 1-bedroom, it's difficult to go back to a studio! Welcome Home! Congratulations on your purchase!

Feb ‘24 edition: SEMI-LIVE solo dining adventures *Update 3/24 COMPLETE*

Breakfast at Ale and Compass is an underrated hidden gem! I also really like their burger (also available in the lounge). I haven't tried Sebastian's yet but it sounds and looks delicious. I believe the roll limits are still in effect and quite controversial . I'm tempted to go...

You Get a Suite! You Get a Suite! Everybody Gets a Suite! December 2023 Trip Report! (Updated 4/18!)

Disney at the holidays is just another level. We did a tour of resort decor last year and it was such a fun day. So much to see and so much attention to detail. I do wish that all the "stands" in each resort opened earlier. If it helps, am going on ten years living in Central FL and have not...
