    I must be crazy……AUGUST?!?!

Our last long trip (9 nights) was in August, and honestly, it wasn't that bad. So much of Disney World is indoors--it's not like you're literally outside for hours and hours straight with no relief. Bring lots of water, walk a little more slowly if needed. Our July 4th trip in 2023 was so much...

    Caribbean Beach 5th Sleeper Bed

That bed was perfect for my five year old. I cannot imagine sleeping on it if you were over 100 lbs or 5 ft tall.

Cruising in late February? Is it too cold

Caribbean should be fine, but the Bahamas and Castaway Cay could definitely be uncomfortably cold for swimming. Personally, I would avoid sailing to the Bahamas in Jan/Feb/Mar if possible.

    Gold CC traveling with Silver

We have the same thing--we are gold, and the extended family are all silver. I just booked for our family as soon as I could, and then they booked for their families as soon as they could. While we had no problems with shore excursions, but we were not able to line up all the wine/liquor...

Embarkation Lunch - Where do you go?

We kind of enjoy the day one Cabanas craziness. The food is good, and you can eat quickly to get out to the pool deck ASAP! And the MDR embarkation lunch truly is not very vegetarian friendly. Now debarkation is a totally different story. We always drag ourselves to first seating breakfast in...

Traveling With an Infant on Disney Cruise Line

I've travelled with a 5 month old (back when the age restriction was 3 months, not 6 months) and an 8 month old. Disney cruises are great for family travel with kids the age. Where else do you have a trustworthy nursery to leave your baby for a couple of hours to get a much needed break? The...

For those who take yearly trips..how many park days?

3 park days minimum, 6 park days maximum. We've skipped MK before for our one and only adult trip, but typically we spend at least one day in MK. I think all the parks can be two-day parks if you really want to experience all of it--two TS meals, entertainment, shows, rides, characters, etc...

    DCL cruisers tried Royal...

We've done Royal Caribbean Oasis class ships three times. Oasis of the Seas had particularly bad and flavorless food (worst cruise food I've ever had and I've probably been on about 15 across five different lines). We just sailed on the Allure over New Years--infinitely better food. Harmony was...

Dinner on first day after AK

We loved Tiffins recently, and it has the added benefit of not having to transport to a different location. Boma is great--but you're looking at adult pricing for everyone in your family including a mini-adult and a 10 year old. It's about $63 per person. With tip/tax and if you have an adult...

Doctor Dies From Allergic Reaction After Raglan Road Meal at Disney Springs

100% true. When I was dairy-free and breastfeeding, I had to cut out all dairy due to my baby's having a cow milk protein intolerance. I always told the waitstaff I needed to be dairy free but specifically made a point of saving that I would not have a severe allergic reaction if exposed to...

What are your top 4 table service restaurants?

People usually consider buffets as table service (as opposed to counter service or quick service). You still have a waiter and order drinks at a table and don't bus your own plates away. We don't have anywhere that we MUST do each trip our favorites in terms of food/atmosphere/service are: 1...

    Late breakfast at Tusker House

We had as similar experience with a 1025 reservation and not getting seated until closer to 1050. We rushed to get one round of breakfast food (which is what we really wanted) but then it was all gone despite reassurances there would be some still there past 11. Oh well. On the plus side, the...

is magic band + worth it

We just ordered some for our next trip, but that trip is nine nights so hopefully we'll really get our use out of them (and we ordered them at a discount since we're staying onsite). We also have a weeklong Disney cruise in June. Being able to use them on the ship was really what convinced me.

Fort Wilderness Cabin - Pack n Play in Bedroom

It can be done. We've put a pack and play right at the foot of the full (or queen?) bed and been able to shut the bedroom door.

Best bang for buck out of these 2 resorts?? CBR ASM

We left after park closing and not after the fireworks. We hopped on the Tomorrowland People Mover and Astro Orbiter and hung around Main Street before heading out.

Best bang for buck out of these 2 resorts?? CBR ASM

We stayed at CBR, non-preferred room, last summer without a car and loved it. (Big departure for our family that typically does FW Cabins or SSR 1 or 2 bedroom with our car.) The walk to the Riviera Skyline was super quick and gave us access to a much wider range of restaurants and resorts to...

    Disney online menus

Rose and Crown is particularly bad now. They used to have a great menu, now it's two appetizers, four main courses, and 2 desserts (and that's including a vegan option in each category which quite frankly don't have the appeal to as many people). I definitely miss pre-Covid Disney dining.

    50's Prime Time

We have eaten there twice and did not particularly enjoy the food or service either time. Ambience is cute to see once. I personally would not eat there again.

Thoughts/info on quick serve options at Swan & Dolphin, plus Riviera?

Primo Piatto is getting a lot of love here, and while the food was great, there was not nearly enough seating and our food took over 20 minutes to come out at like 2:30pm (maybe those two problems are related--too many people taking up limited seating waiting on food). I cannot even imagine...
