    Question about T1D and Universal

Hi all, We have a trip coming up and are taking a day off from Disney to check out Universal. I am reading some reviews stating that in several of the rides you are not allowed to take in bags or phones; even if you are not riding but just standing in line with your child. Do they have a pass...

Getting stuck on a ride post

At Disneyland. Stuck on Haunted Mansion where the carts are tilted and sound echos...next to a giggling cart full of 4 tween girls. Who sat screaming at the top of their lungs for 20 minutes...they were trying to out scream each other. It was so bad that other cars on the track started yelling...

"Official" 2016 Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party - Trick or Treat Fun

I don't understand the costume rules. Can adults dress up? And what does 'no layered' costumes mean. I'm going with 2 adults and a 15 year old. Thanks!

getting new car. what do you have?

Not an SUV but budget related. I drive a Nissan Leaf and LOVE it. It's not for everyone...but is perfect for me as a commuter car in the city. I've saved serious $$ as I haven't had to pay for gas in 3 months and there's no noticeable change in my electric bill. I plug it into a 240 outlet I...

Escape from Tomorrowland - UNAUTHORIZED DISNEY MOVIE!

It's private property and I doubt he had the correct permits to create it either and could get in legal trouble for that.

Best bag I've ever used in the parks - Maxexpedition

I wore mine at the hip a crossed one shoulder, or sometimes pushed slightly to the back or front. I found it really easy to access it while wearing it. My husband wore his cross body at the hip. The velcro is military grade and they also make and sell small pouches that attach to it. The pocket...

Paradise Pier concierge with a view review

The line for Earl was really short, like at the most 2 families before us. But we went late Jan and it was SO cold that week. We did RSR 3 times in a row on early entry. It didn't warm up until the day we left. Earl heats the outside seating. And gives you a buzzer when your food is ready for...

Best bag I've ever used in the parks - Maxexpedition

Howdy howdy, Posting in the hope that this helps someone. I've tried various bags on our trips, usually I end up having to carry two separate bags - a purse and a backpack to carry my SLR. It's such a pain. But for Christmas my husband bought me a Maxexpedition versipack bag in pink (I'm a...

Paradise Pier concierge with a view review

Posting in case this helps others: We took a trip a couple of weeks ago and splurged for the Paradise Pier concierge/view room. I was a little nervous as it was a lot of $ for us to spend on the room. But I'm seriously so-so glad we did it. Our room was #1434 and the view was breathtaking. We...

I'm surprised they are taking pictures of children. CA has some pretty strict child privacy laws. Did you sign a waiver regarding how they can use the image?

Question for Insulin Dependant Diabetics at Disney

We're pumping too, but I've heard that some kids will just give the shot through their jeans and into the leg. At restaurants we always ask for a booth as tables are often in the center of the room it's more on display. But DD is fast and confident. Often I'm not even aware that she's testing...

    Limited Time Magic?

LOL. I think in the video it sounded a bit too much like a bucket list, 'you only have a limited amount of time left in your life or only a limited amount of time with your children...do Disneyland before you die.' And they could use it a bit as a merchandising up sale.....you're time here is...

For those who bring babies to DLR...why?

For us as a young couple with a baby money was tight. So flying with an infant was cost prohibitive and she wasn't going to remember any of it anyways. When they're that small you're not going for the baby, you're really going for yourself. We decided to wait till she was old enough to really...

YMCA of the Rockies, anyone vacation there?

I think 1 week would be plenty of time - depending on what you are doing and when you are going. And depending on traffic - which is always horrid during tourist season, you can spend a full day on each loop to see the main areas. Then there are things to do at the gates.
