I would take what you can get. If an availability for a day you want comes up in the meantime, you can always cancel. We are checking into the Polynesian tomorrow, and I was unable to get 'Ohana for our arrival night (it was the first reservation I tried for, as soon as booking opened). I did...
Touring Plans reservation finder wasn't any help to me this time at all, unfortunately. I was trying for 'Ohana. Got two different alerts from TP, but by the time I logged into my info (took mere seconds), both were shown as "no longer available"
Sadly, it is that hard. I wanted it for dinner on our arrival night next Saturday, but like you, found no availability as soon as I was able to start booking at 6 a.m. I was able to book it at the end of our stay, but really preferred it for our first night. So I listed it on TP's reservation...
When we first tried Chefs years ago the food was delicious, and it had a separate lunch and dinner menu. The last two times we ate there (2018 and 2019) the food was mediocre, and the lunch/dinner menus were combined, with several of our favorites omitted. Sadly, we no longer have a desire to...
Oh my gosh Buzzster, were you ever lucky! DH and I stayed at the Beach Club, off season, where it was noted we were celebrating our 25th anniversary. All we got were two buttons to wear, and were placed in seemingly the furthest room from the lobby there was. On the other hand, our family...
Hello! I was planning to use both my Disney Chase Visa and also the Rewards Points I've accumulated from that on our upcoming trip, specifically for dining. My question is, in restaurants that offer a 10% discount with the Disney Visa, will the 10% be automatically deducted from my bill when I...
I didn't know Wilderness Lodge was considered a monorail resort. I would recommend the Grand Floridian Cafe, as their food has always been delicious. I'm sure Steakhouse 71 is also very good, but haven't tried it yet.
There are two levels of convenience here: Poly for access to MK and Epcot, and AoA for having two bathrooms (and sleeping areas). I would strongly recommend the convenience of AoA, especially as you have 5 in your family. As someone else pointed out, it would save lots of time getting ready...
We had the same experience visiting WDW in May. Constant rain, every day we were there, ugh! Typical of my rotten luck, I had paid for a balcony room at BW overlooking the Boardwalk, but due to all the rain it was useless.
We went twice during mid-May and both times the temps were in the 90s range, so yes, quite hot. Although not nearly as humid as it gets during the summer.
I hear you about the food court at POR; it was the best, at any time of day. While staying at the Epcot resorts is convenient for the location, their counter service options are very disappointing.
My burger-loving adult son's favorite is at Grand Floridian Cafe. He also really liked the burger at Hollywood Brown Derby. He's looking forward to trying the burger at Steakhouse 71 during our November trip.
AKL is so far and above the other two resorts that it gets my vote, hands down. It is massively themed, with lovely grounds and so much to see and do, especially for the little ones. It was, and remains years later, my kids' favorite resort.
