Why is it so busy at Hollywood Studios today?

We cannot believe the crowds! 120 mins for RnR, 60 mins Star Wars, 100 mins ToT, even Indiana Jones was standing room only ages before show time! It’s rammed! Can’t move in places!

Boy do they oversell this Halloween party!!!

Also here now. NEVER EVER again for us! WAY TOO BUSY! We are so disappointed. I’m just relieved I reserved the dessert party otherwise we would definitely be missing the fireworks tonight. You can’t move in the hub area because of the crowding and people are 3 people deep along the parade route...

Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

That is not what I have been advised by two separate CMs of the "executive office". Both told me that all water and garden view rooms are dog eligible and they will not be confined to one area / floor of the resort. Is your information from a more reliable source?

Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

Thanks very much everyone. I appreciate the input. The thing is, I've heard it's not very popular at Universal because they strictly prohibit dogs being left in the room unattended. Whereas Disney are allowing guests to leave dogs in rooms on their own for 7 hours whilst guests go out and...

***Help us gather information on Disney's policies on dogs at resorts***

I was told by a CM at the Disney "exec office" that at YC all garden view rooms and lagoon view rooms are eligible to take dogs; excluding club level. There is no dedicated dog area of the resort, no dedicated floor, no dedicated rooms. Guests with dogs will be allocated any room in the resort...

Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

So I ended up getting a little tearful last night over this bloomin' "dog policy" that Disney foolishly decided to bring out with no prior notice. I'd love some advice from you guys. My boyfriend and I have been planning our dream WDW vacation for so long and were so excited to be at Yacht...

Trial Run for Dogs in Resort Rooms

I was told by the CM that called me that dogs are permitted in all public areas except pool areas :( Only rule is that they must be leashed.

Trial Run for Dogs in Resort Rooms

Is this for real? I had to check if it was 1 April? I am horrified. How is the Yacht Club of all places a dog-friendly environment? First off, I am a dog lover and dog owner. The vast majority of people come to WDW to enjoy the theme parks; not to spend significant time in their rooms...

    Parking woes...

Just ended our brilliant 2 weeks and now in New York for a while. Wanted to share some parking observations as we spent so much time in traffic/full car parks during our stay! First - Downtown Disney - what a nightmare! The road running round the edge is permanently clogged and it can take...

From reports this is normal and not any kind of error but I'll mention to front desk anyway

    Saratoga's automatic bathroom fans...

...are driving us all CRAZY! Here now in a 2 bed and we are not happy about the noise these bad boys generate and the fact they stay on for so long. Who thought it would be a good idea for these fans to run for a good 10 mins after walking past? If anyone even so much as walks past the...

Is Beach Club due a refurb soon? Just returned

Main difference is theming and YC rooms all have full balconies (some BC rooms only have those small standing only balconies).

Is Beach Club due a refurb soon? Just returned

Good to know, thanks. They shouldn't be selling rooms in their current condition IMHO.

Is Beach Club due a refurb soon? Just returned

Just returned from 7 nights at BC. We had 2 inter-connecting GV rooms. Both rooms were in a shocking state! Ripped carpets, worn walls with marks, chipped furniture. The rooms looked really tired and sad. Both the toilets didn't work properly and one of the bathroom doors wouldn't shut/open...

    Escape from Gringotts just.... meh

Rode this morning. Agree with the "meh". Thought FJ was better and agree the drop at the start was the only good bit; the rest seemed just a mediocre dark ride with screens. Not a fan. Glad we used EE and didn't wait; can't believe people wait 4 hours for this!

    7/16 Gringotts this morning

Yes, we are exactly the same. Can't believe we got up so early on vacation but it was worth it. We got the train straight over to Hogsmeade after riding Gringotts and I am posting this live (7.45am) from the FJ line, which is posted as 20 minutes. Apparently single rider is 5 mins.

    7/16 Gringotts this morning

We were at the turnstiles at 6.15am this morning. Gates opened about 6.40am and Gringotts had 45 min wait posted when we arrived there but it was actually a walk on. We were out by 7.15am. Well worth getting up that little bit earlier.

15 July flights for £370 - Virgin Atlantic

Big long thread over on the DIBB about this. You can't board the Manchester to MCO flight unless you've checked-in and travelled from Shannon to Manchester first. EDITED TO ADD: Apparently, the reason for this is that flights originating from Ireland have much lower taxes.
