    Fishing,accelerating modifying and MEP

One thing to be careful of- I had a group of 5 and accidentally scanned one MEP twice, so it counted both the LL and the MEP

What to Drink That Isn't SUGAR?

We were shocked at how sweet drinks were last visit. We tried a couple of cold brews and just threw them away (and I’ll even drink coke now and then). I just drank water (or wine in DCA! 😃) Disappointed there seems to be no sparkling water anywhere, unless I missed it. That’s a pretty popular...

    Downtown Disney recommendations?

When we were there last week there were some tables by that lawn/play area that said there were crafts in the afternoon (I think F-Sun). Didn’t go by at those times, it that might be something to check out!

    The Disneyland Hotel Superthread

I just stayed in a king room and honestly, there is not a lot of extra space. You might be more comfortable in a double queen, even if you’re not using that other bed. My sister was in a double queen and that room was much more spacious.

    Airport Experiences in SoCal

Oh, thanks for asking. It was fantastic! I don’t normally do just a 2 day, but I was going with my sister (who really isn’t a Disney fan and this trip didn’t change her mind) and her kids, so we knew 2 park days was the limit. My little guy (8) is finally big enough to close down the park. I got...

    Airport Experiences in SoCal

Adding my 2 cents for those flying into the dreaded LAX. It was great! Arrived Wednesday 6:45p. Took the shuttle to LAX-IT. Uber was less than an hour and $134+ tip. We were drinking fruity drinks at Tangaroa Terrace by 8:45p. Coming back today, we rented a car from Pixar Place and made a...

    Fishing,accelerating modifying and MEP

These tips were great for us! Got a MEP both days. I didn’t trust this would work, but it did! Thank you all!

    Season Of The Force 2024

Closed down DL last night, ending at Space Mountain. Was so fun to visit Hyperspace Mountain today. It was like magic! New sign and everything. (Thank you nighttime CMs!). And I have to say I prefer Hyperspace Mountain! This coming from a total non-SW fan and Disney traditionalist.

Does anyone know what happened to Soarin today?

Around that time last night (7:10) we were joining lightning lane for Incredicoaster and it was similar- long lightning lane up the pier and no one in standby. I asked if it would be better to just go standby and they said “We’re not really letting anyone but LL in.” Line moved fairly swiftly...

    DL in the rain?? Help!

One of the forecasts shows thunderstorms in the afternoon on Friday. In addition to the normal rain closures- what else closes? Anything else to think about? We will probably head to the hotel for a break if it’s too close! I did just go to REI to get some new rain gear, so hopefully outlaying...

    DL in the rain?? Help!

Thanks! These are helpful details. I live in Seattle, so have the gear and will bring it. But it is disappointing! I need to start planning Sept/Oct trips (I much prefer the heat to rain). We usually book a CA trip for midwinter or spring break for a dose of sun!

    DL in the rain?? Help!

How did your trip go? We are there later this week and I’m so disappointed the forecast keeps getting worse for us, particularly Friday. Now I need you to talk me off a ledge, LOL.

    Airport Experiences in SoCal

Thanks for posting this! We usually fly into SNA, but this trip was booked a little last minute and it was a lot less to fly LAX. Leaving later this week and glad to hear it can be ok (but prepared for it not to be!)

    DL in the rain?? Help!

To manage some crowd expectations- last year we went in February (president’s day week) and it was absolutely pouring. I think they may even have closed the park early (we left before that happened and my memory could be off). It was totally packed. The rain didn’t really make any difference on...

    The Disneyland Hotel Superthread

We arrive next week! I called today to link my reservation with my sister’s and to request Fantasy tower. When I asked if it’s better to check in via the app or in person he said it didn’t matter. I see that we can check in starting 5 days before our trip. Any tips on check in strategy?

    Season Of The Force 2024

I’ll be there for the first few days of this. Exciting! I’ve never been on Hyperspace Mountain. I’m hoping with Genie+ I can ride it on April 5. Wondering how crowded fireworks will be that first day.

Thanks everyone! We’re super excited now!

Last minute trip; yay or nay?

A last minute trip is ALWAYS a good idea. Depending on party size- you might be able to get walk up seating for a sit down (when you’re near enough a restaurant, you can join in the app). We’ve had good luck with that!

Last minute trip- help me pick a hotel!

Really appreciate the info here (DL Dis is the best!) We decided on DLH!!! I think for a first trip, you can’t go wrong here. Thanks for the nudge, @Geemo and @Pluto468 ! Appreciate that advise for future trips @crystal1313 We are a family of 5 with two teens, so it is good info!
