Can I watch the NYE fireworks right outside MK

We have watched from the front lawn of the Contemporary. The second set of fireworks shoots off very close.

    Anything like the fort?

Not much closer to you, but maybe for others browsing...Normandy Farms in Foxboro, MA. It's not Disney, but its a pretty great family campground in its own space. It's definitively a "resort." 4 pools (one indoor with adult only hot tubs), bike park, giant dog park, disc golf course...

    April 17-21? AM I crazy?

Those are our dates...Spring Break on the east coast. We are expecting crowds. Based on hours, Disney is too, albeit slightly lighter than say this week. Hours are extended, fireworks nightly, but WoC with only a single show.

    World of color dessert party?!

Question for those that have seen this show multiple ways... Is the show more impressive when you can see the bottom of the fountains? It seems as though the dessert party has a good view of the projections, but because of the people in front of you, you don't see the full height of the...

    Character Meal Vouchers...Worth it?

I think the OPer is asking if the VOUCHERS are worth it, not if the actual meal is worth it. I'm going over Spring Break (peak time) and having dinner at Goofy's Kitchen. I called the dining line and asked for prices for our date, and then priced out vouchers with Get Away Today. I'm sorry I...

    World of color dessert party?!

Thank you for posting. I'm sorry and so disappointed for you. You further solidified that this is not for us. I have a larger family, so it would be ~$500 USD for the dessert party. I would be upset if I ended up with the view you had. I've done the dessert parties at WDW with similar bad...

April 2017 check in thread, come in and chat!

Either I'm crazy or they just added two days to the hours schedule (April 17-18). I swear I looked 2 days ago and those two days were not there. Hours are as expected, no surprises though.

Please critique my Spring Break plans...

I would just browse the menus now and get a feel for what would suit your family best. It sounds like you might need to wing it somewhat on meals. Although its a table service meal, you might consider something like Carnation Cafe too. The prices are pretty comparable to counter service and...

Please critique my Spring Break plans...

I question priorities because on such a short trip, they are super important. We don't know you, and we really don't have much to go on. We don't really know how well you've researched this or what your background with WDW parks is. For instance, when you said you've done Disney a lot, I...

Please critique my Spring Break plans...

Another thought...why is Jedi a top priority? Do you feel like the experience is vastly different/better than the WDW version? I would give Carsland and other DL specific rides more weight than Jedi Training.

Please critique my Spring Break plans...

Is Radiator Springs Racers (RSR) not a priority? Since you are going to WDW in the fall, I would focus on rides such as this that don't have a WDW sister. If you are only in CA in the afternoon, then you are likely looking at a long standy line for RSR. Its very likely that Fastpasses will be...

WDW Vets -- just reporting that we loved Disneyland

Thanks for your report. We are WDW regulars doing our first DL trip this year. I'm super excited.

A WDW Family Follows in Walt's Footsteps: Our First Trip to Disneyland-updated 4/6 (DL Day 3)

Thank you for your report. My family is planning our first DL trip after being WDW regulars for many years. Your posts are helping me greatly!

April 2017 check in thread, come in and chat!

I've tossed around the dessert party idea a lot. We've done our share of dessert parties at WDW, and after the last one, I vowed no more. I keep telling myself this is Disneyland, so it might be different. Only 3 of the 7 drink, and there are some dietary issues (and pickiness) with the...

April 2017 check in thread, come in and chat!

Thanks! Both love princesses and Minnie. Ones really loves Pooh Bear. Their big brother enjoys everything. We aren't set on a certain number of character meals. We usually only do one table service a day though. We have 5 park days, but the grandparents are leaving a day early so we intend...

Yep, nothing but time to sit and wait! Flights: booked a LONG time ago! Hotel: We've had DL Hotel booked for a bit, but I just added a night yesterday. Instead of arriving early on a Tuesday, checking in,, and hitting the park, we'll be checking in on Monday late afternoon or early evening...
