I love credit cards so much! v6.0 - 2023 (see first page for add'l details)

I think some of you are from Chicago - is 2 hours enough to get through customs at ORD and catch a domestic flight? The international leg and the domestic leg would be ticketed separately. ETA: Ok, the internet tells me this is pushing my luck particularly since we will be checking luggage...

I love credit cards so much! v6.0 - 2023 (see first page for add'l details)

I had to cancel a big trip last summer due to my son being in a serious accident. The CSR covered our nonrefundable flights. It was a simple, painless process and it was done quickly. Read the fine print on the CSR insurance to ensure pre-existing conditions are covered. We have the same...

Getting Out of the Cold: A January 2024 Visit To Fort Wilderness

Insurance costs are also significantly higher per mobile home unit than per unit in a building. Maybe Disney is self-insured or maybe this isn't part of DVC dues but it could be a driver for higher costs.

Getting Out of the Cold: A January 2024 Visit To Fort Wilderness

Always so good to see a @bama_ed trip report!! We've only been in 1500 twice over a couple dozen trips and it is such a good loop!! We spent a good while trying to figure out what those benches were for over New Year's. They are so awkwardly placed in an area that doesn't really have a good...

    Campfire sing a long days

It is Wednesday to Sunday. And Chip and Dale no longer circulate through the crowd - they come onstage for a (too long) comedy/jokes part of the sing along and then they exit. They come back for the hokey pokey.

    Fire Pits

It's been a while since there was a traveling fire pit but a girl can hope...anyone know of any fire pits that are roaming around the Fort these days? My sister checked the facebook groups and none available / booked up. The RV rental places are sold out. We will be there for a few days over...

    Fort Wilderness Christmas closure?

Interesting. We were there after Christmas and over New Year's last year and it was packed. I had a hard time getting a reservation this year for the same time period but was able to piece together the 30-4 as we wanted. I don't know if this is new but since this question comes up every so...

Young adult DP...My college student son has had a Discover for 2 years and is an AU on my Amex. I wanted him to get a Visa for study abroad so he applied for the Chase Freedom Flex - Denied. He immediately applied for the Chase Freedom Unlimited - Denied. He used $18k as income, has a 771...

@becauseimnew @2TxAgs @*WDW*Groupie* @elgerber @mmmears Thanks to all of you (and anyone else I may have missed) for advice on clothing for Paris for the winter. I think I've got the basic idea of a capsule wardrobe for him and am just looking for good deals so as not to spend a fortune on...

I love credit cards so much! v6.0 - 2023 (see first page for add'l details)

I need some help that is only tangentially travel / cc. My son is doing study abroad in Paris starting in January for 4 months (flight bought with AA miles to keep it related :) ). We live in Miami and I know that I am making ourselves look sooooo ignorant but I have no idea what clothes he...

Disney News, Discussion & an Element of Fun - 2023 Edition

I'm so late to respond but this is such a wonderful improvement for guests. If only management at MK, HS, and Epcot considered the comfort of their guests like management at DLP seems to be doing. As Floridians, we go often but the last few trips in summer and fall have been brutal. Not...

Thank you. My son will be studying abroad in Paris this winter so this will be useful. Thanks - AF/KLM will be useful to visit my son. After my other son's accident, we canceled this summer's NCL Iceland/Norway cruise. We didn't expect it, but NCL extended a credit for the 75% cancellation...

We ended up canceling our cruise but we had booked using a TA through cruise compete (recommended here) that worked with the Amex program. Not all of them do so be sure to ask. We got all the cruise offers, the TA specials, and the Amex offers. Note, in a post on cruise critic, I was told...

Thank you both. I have alot to learn regarding AA partner flights especially now as we will generally be less than 6 people as my kids get older and have jobs, SO, school, etc.

We booked directly through Icelandair, paid with the CSR. Chase Travel Cancellation coverage covered the non-refundable portion of the Icelandair flights. Painless process as long as you have your backup documentation.
