    >> Smoking at Disney Resorts FAQ <<

I email Guest Relations (in addition to visiting them when on site) after every trip to the World about the lack of smoking areas in parks. I encourage everyone to do it - the more that do, they will "hopefully" address the issue. The worst part is when they make you feel like a criminal even if...

Restaurants near Port Orleans French Quarter?

Definitely make a point to see Bob @ POR! What a great family show! He is on Wed-Sat nights, beginning around 7 or 8, I believe. Lots of fun!

Value or Moderate for adult over 50?

Everyone's different :goodvibes I'm in my early 30s and have stayed at both value and moderates...and I LOVE my moderates. *I* find the values to be..."overstimulating"! I like the quiet of the moderates (likely due to being more spread out) for that mid-day time-out. I enjoy the atmosphere...

Planning Advice for two young adults?

For resorts, definitely moderate for your needs, it sounds like. I'd suggest either French Quarter or the Riverside. Riverside seems much quieter and more romantic to me for some reason. Off the beaten path: There are several resorts that offer horse-drawn carriage rides in the evening...

Going solo - Starting to feel odd

Only you can change your opinion of you and your trip, so do it :goodvibes I'm 33 and travel solo to the World at least 1-2x/year. I LOVE it. I love the freedom to do/go/not go wherever I feel at any whim. The only thing I ever feel "weird" about is table service dining solo, so I typically...

    Disney for 4 adults

I'd also suggest entertaining the idea of the Segway tour at Fort Wilderness - sooooo much fun! Also, when touring the WS, try eating/drinking/kissing (must be photographed!) around the world! :goodvibes

    Romantic Trip..Tips/Suggestions??

Throwing this one out there (not proposal-related, but still fun!): Maybe a segway tour? The Around the World at Epcot is a blast and gets you into the World Showcase before it opens. I second the carriage ride at POR. Then you can walk down to French Quarter and listen to Elliot's one man...

Traditions....What do you buy every trip?

I always get a pearl from the Japan pavillion. Used to also get a mask from the Italy pavillion, but ran out of room :rolleyes1 And Dole whip, of course!

    PO Riverside 5/17-5/26 *new stuff*

We had a standard view this time, room 8591 on the ground floor, which was a corner room with the double windows. Had a view of the manicured lawns and was just 5 feet to the parking lot and the closest to the East Depot bus stop. All we requested was just to be put in Magnolia Bend. We were...

    PO Riverside 5/17-5/26 *new stuff*

Just back from my "home away from home". We were just there in October/November and I noticed some changes. We stayed in Magnolia Bend in the Magnolia Terrace Building (#85). Right off I noticed new refrigerators. The inside on the door now has a holding area for a stack of canned...

    Buses at Port Orleans Riverside

I've stayed there 2-3x/year back to 2007. The longest I've ever waited for a bus (to a particular park) was 27 mins and it was around 7pm to get to Epcot during F&W & EMH that night. That particular time, there were plenty of other busses, just not the one I wanted! Other than that, never...

where do you get CS in MK?

Just Back - POR - Big thumbs up!

Glad you enjoyed. I'm going back in 26 days (but who's counting?) I love POR and have been there frequently over the last few years. It's my favorite and have never had a problem there :goodvibes

    POR Riverside

Another POR addict here...2x year for the last 4 or 5 years. We were just there in May and will be again in October. We (just 2 of us) like Magnolia Bend over Alligator Bayou. But would readily stay in either. The grounds are beautiful, the food at CS has lots of choices, and overall just has an...

    Come on AP Rates!!!

I'm waiting too and I'm not very good at being patient!

    Annual Pass question

I can't remember the exact time frame but historically they raise them in August. I think you can find the info on AllEars or Mousesavers to see the trend over the years. They are pretty consistent. Go for the AP you won't be disappointed!

    Annual Pass question

Definitely worth it if you go 2x or more/year. I love the AP rates on the resorts (my fav is your tagline!), and discounts on table service restaurants, and slight discount on shopping. Go for it, you won't be disappointed, since I'm betting they'll raise tix prices in Aug (again).

    Use AP rate OR PIN??

I've never gotten a PIN before after many, many years. So I broke and got an AP last December for the rates. I *finally* got a pin a couple months ago before AP rate was released for October. :cool1: The APs were released and I can save about $20-$30 total. My real question is...
