WDW, staying at the fort for a week then leaving the kids with their aunt whilst DW and myself head out to New York, arriving back at FW two weeks later to collect the DS's before heading back to the UK.

Thanks guys, looks like we will be staying in Miami for the first night then, if i was alone i would have driven, but as a few have pointed out my whole family will be in back, not worth the risk methinks.

i would book direct with the US, there's always a chance you can get quite good discounts on room only, just ask if they have anything. also you can add a discount to your booking later if they release any, deposit is just first nights cost.

Would you drive straight from Miami to Orlando bearing in mind getting up at five in the morning to drive to Heathrow, flight into Miami landing at 6:30 in the evening, my DW thinks it inadvisable, has anyone ever done it?, i'm not phased about driving in the US.
