They added a half an hour to the hours at HS (from 8:00 pm to now 8:30 pm) in the last day or so for my date (March 1) and that popped up some FP's for SDD and MFSR. I got one today for the 7:30-8:30 PM window for MFSR. Hope some of you did too!
So people are saying that RotR isn't open for EMH but it most likely will be for morning EMH's when they start (if they start as they are scheduled to in February) I would think.
We love Yak and Yeti. Try the Malaysian Seafood Curry. Awesome. Also be sure to be seated upstairs on a window. Very chill compared to the chaos downstairs.
You can park unless it’s too close to Christmas. Then they won’t let you in the lot. Happened to us last year. Have to have a dining reservation to park near Christmas.
Very strange thing - when we went this March (2018) they walked us back to Pandora and didn’t let everyone run. Worked great. Has anyone else had that experience????
That is what happened with us - guided by the CM's. Wonder if they are just doing that some times and not others. Doesn't make sense. It worked well and was safer.
When we were at AK in early March for Rope Drop they rope walked us to Pandora. CM’s led us in a controlled walk to the rides. I hear they are not doing that now. Was that just a short experiment? It worked GREAT!
Curious thing - I used a Disney date calculator that told me my fastpass day was this Thursday 4/19. I looked on Wednesday and it let me book June 19. My check in date is June 18.
When we did it in March (2018) at rope drop they slowly walked us to the ride. No chaos. Everyone is talking about the rush but it was safe and controlled.
From the Mousesavers site those renting DVC points will also park for free.
Here is the quote:
Guests of Disney Vacation Club Members staying at a DVC resort using a DVC member’s points (including people using rented DVC points), get FREE parking.
We were there last Monday and the CM’s walked us all to FoP. Worked great. No running no pushing. It was a 7 am opening EMH. We arrived at 6:07 and were about 15 people from the front of the line. Walking into the ride with no wait at 6:50.
I’m going March 5th and EMH is 7. Anybody experienced that and how early you need to arrive to make the rope drop approach work to get onto FoP? I’m thinking arrive at 6:15.
