BOG is not a character meal and that’s why he doesn’t come to the table.

I think they are canceling reservations. They just announced the closure in the last few days.

They will be completely closed the 20-25.

You are missing the point. This is not a character meal. They never said it was. They are not saying that just in case they need a substitute. They are saying that in case they want to pull the beast totally.

BOG is not a character meal and Disney says at any point the beast may not be there so if that is the plan- going to see the beast don’t bet on it. He could disappear any day and they may decide to do that since they never called it a character meal and they are trying to make it more fancy.

Ok so that’s what $5? For an hour at the table? That server could have made $20+ from that same table in that time. No matter how you look at it ordering a cupcake screws the server.

Do you really think most people that are going in there for a cupcake or 2 are tipping well? If they take an hour at the table they leave $1 or $2?

I do think a lot less people go to LeCellier since the change, less people go to CRT and now less people will go to BOG. They will still make the money by charging the people that do go more money. That’s sad. We have enjoyed it in the past but won’t go back now. Lunch will be even harder to get now. Why do they do this? Personally I don’t think signature dining belongs in the parks. That’s a nicer more expensive meal that should be in the resorts.

If you have a car you can eat anywhere and if you are staying in an offsite motel that seems like it would be much less than $250 but that’s my budgeting. I couldn’t get it to quote.

What the priority? If it’s price then stay at a value. It’s much cheaper. Your niece isn’t going to know anything else. There are lots of kids there and she will have fun. The pool is full of kids, there are games and movies.

Why is it an extra $250-$350? All it would be is an extra night in an off site motel.

I thought the food was good, not spectacular but the service was bad. Very bad. I had to ask 3 different people to have the manager come over.

My mother insisted on going with us last trip but wanted to sleep late. We left her at the hotel and arranged a time and place to meet later in the day. I couldn’t take being stuck at the hotel for no reason.
