If the soles are in good shape and the holes don’t bother you, I’d keep them. I was fitted for a pair of shoes that I had the same issue with (I think they were a half size too big and my toes poked through). They didn’t cause me any problems running, so I wore them til the usual 400 miles.

First time I have forgotten to pack a vital piece of running gear (my capris) before a race. Thank goodness my daughter runs and I could use something of hers. Race (Boston 5k) was pretty decent. The self seeding was horrendous-live and learn. It was cool to run through the Marathon finish line...

So for the last few normal years, 5k usually goes first. 10k is generally an early sell out (2nd 3rd), then maybe Dopey then half. Marathon is usually the/one of the last races to sell out. You should be okay either way (doing them serially or together)

@The Expert Great pictures including the solar prominences (the reddish dots around the outline of the sun. I saw them as well (but crappy internet where I was means I didn't get to look up what they were til now)...
