    Universal Newbie

Hi, I’ve always been a WDW girl but my niece and I would like to try Universal. She’s 12. My best friend will also be coming. What resort would be enjoyable for a 12 year old yet be comfortable and relaxing for two adults that work stressful jobs ( I’m a nurse, she’s a teacher)? 🤣 I was looking...

Here Now & Just Back WDW Reopening Experiences Including Park Hopping

Here now and yes, it’s crowded and hot. Despite this, we have had a good trip. The CMs seem to be trying to make the best of the situation so I have made an effort to be flexible too. Honestly, I’m just so happy to be back that it would take something major to upset me. Oh, and we haven’t seen...

Here Now & Just Back WDW Reopening Experiences Including Park Hopping

I agree. Yelling at CMs solves nothing and it’s horrible to do that. When elective surgeries were canceled, they had me screening patients. OMG, never been sworn at so much in my life and I work with surgeons. 🤣👀 People have varying opinions about masking and such…please don’t abuse someone...

Here Now & Just Back WDW Reopening Experiences Including Park Hopping

Like I said before, I’d be wearing a mask anyway, even if they haven’t mandated it. I’m a nurse and worked all last year during the pandemic, unvaxxed, with recycled and reused masks. Never caught the big C. But, those are some pretty intense crowds and I personally don’t wish to chance it. I...

Here Now & Just Back WDW Reopening Experiences Including Park Hopping

Hope she recovers soon. I’m vaccinated but I think I’m going to bring a mask into the parks anyway. This is just my personal feeling. At home, I don’t wear masks anymore unless required but WDW could be a germ soup even pre plague days.

Ashamed to go to Disney without kids

My best friend and I will be there next week, she has grown kids and I don’t. We’re going because we are both turning 50 this year along with WDW. Cant wait!

Just can't find that spark of excitement..

I do respect that. But, the original post brought up COVID. 🤷‍♀️

Just can't find that spark of excitement..

You’ll be okay. In years past, you were around thousands of strangers. I don’t think the parks are at capacity either. I have a trip coming up in a week and a half and I’m excited to be going back. There is no such thing as the perfect trip.

Should I stay off property or stay at Disney Springs?

If Disney doesn’t mind offsite guests using the transportation, I don’t see why anyone else should. I have stayed on property for years. I’ve spent thousands of dollars on my trips, and so have most people here. Paying for a ticket to the parks gives one the right to use the transportation. I’m...

    What/Who is Orange Bird??

On my first Disney trip in 1980, my aunt bought me a little Orange Bird necklace. Wish I still had it.

    Linking tickets.

Hi, my best friend and I will be staying at the Dolphin. I’m trying to link my tickets on the WDW site and it won’t let me do so. It said that it can take up to 72 hours before you can, but I’m just concerned that park reservations will start filling up. Has anyone else had this happen?

    Pop vs. Dolphin

I was debating between the same two hotels. I went with the Dolphin because I’ve never stayed there and I like how the rooms are close to a deluxe without the deluxe prices. My best friend and I both love Epcot too so it will be nice to be so close.

Found Cast Member in my hotel room

I just don’t see how this will deter much. If I was someone planning a shooting, I don’t think I’d be taking a plane there. I’d most likely drive and I would think such a person would just keep the weapons in their car trunk. It may deter some human trafficking but not much.

How to stay hydrated in July/August

I just don’t want to have to pay ridiculous prices for bottled water. I love Disney but Lord knows they price gouge.😁

How to stay hydrated in July/August

Ok, so fountains are down? I’m assuming so because they are around here but Florida seems to be a little more easy going with some things.

How bad are masks in July?

The jury is still out on whether the vaccine keeps you from spreading COVID to others so I would err on the side of caution and treat it like it does not. On top of that, we now have two new strains. So, we will be wearing masks for a while, I think.

How to stay hydrated in July/August

Apologies if this is elsewhere. I am going with my best friend in July. I remember from last time I went in the summer that hydration is key. Are the bubblers still functional ( water fountains to non New Englanders) or do you go to counter service and get water? I’m buying us both water bottles..
