Made the difficult decision to cancel our Oct trip. The excitement of anticipation is just not there. I don't know if it is too short notice, but I did ask David's if they could list my BWV studio on their dedicated reservation page. Anyone want to go Oct 17-21, it may show up! Now I really wish I had cancelled my AP for a refund. It's good till early March now, but who knows if I will get there in Feb even?

I feel you there - WDW in its current state just isn’t doing it for me right now either. I’m hoping I can get excited by the time January rolls around but they need to make some changes to their operations for that to happen I think.

So sorry you had to cancel hopefully David’s can rent it, if not right now DVC is allowing cancellations within 30 days and not putting the points in holding. I asked a week ago since we are from NY and as of now would have to quarantine 14 days.
As far as the AP, I would try to cancel now and see what they say.

Since we appear to be back in “business” I’m banking on that as a method to replenish
I'm super antsy about applying DH for a CIC. He was denied the CIC back in May "business to new", and then approved for the Hyatt card 1 week later. It's been 4 months, technically he's good to go, but still seeing mixed DP's. Wondering if I should give it a couple more months, but I'm so impatient :hyper:

I am still waiting on dh CIU app, from Wednesday (I think it was that day). He has never been denied before, but so far it's been crickets.

Did you get the closed 117 day refund? I got $229.06 for that. I also responded to the email for the rest of my pass once I decided not to go in November. Didn't want to cancel. If I get more refund I'll ,take it but I did well with 3 trips on the pass, plus I have extra APs still in MDE, if by any chance they pull something with future AP's. I just don't trust that situation.

Right now I've got January and a couple of days booked in February. If I go to parks I'll use one of my no expire tickets. After reading so much, I have no desire to visit parks. The things I enjoy aren't the focus right now. It seems to be mostly rides, as opposed to atmosphere, streetmosphere, music, shows. I'm going to do my best to get to Florida in January or February, and probably use my nights booked, but it may be just a 'get warm' trip for me, if I go.

No, I didn't. My pass originally expired Oct 7, and I had this trip planned Oct 17-28, so I just let it go. It was unclear to me when the extra month they were giving would be added on. Some of my nights were rented through an owner, so I am going to see if she can reschedule me (a second time, originally they were for May) for late Feb. I think she said they expire in March.

I understand exactly how you feel. We just cancelled our November trip. We still have until Septemeber 2021 to use our points before they expire - so I am hoping we go before then instead of trying to rent them out.

I'm only 267 pages behind. Let's just say teaching in-person learners (full day, 5-days-a-week, all in-person learners) and remote learners isn't going so well for me.

We are still set for WDW over Christmas week. If the kids didn't have their hearts set on it and Disney would issue refunds for our previously purchased military tickets, we'd go elsewhere. I had to use my Frontier flight vouchers or loose them, so we also have President's Day weekend booked.

I hope you're all doing well. I'll go back and catch up.

Oh in other news, which I think most of you will find funny, I am the new trip-coordinator for our school's student travel trip. I'm taking 35 people out to Washington, D.C. next May. :) If you are a praying person, please say a few for us.

Right now DD and I are still planning for early December. If they do something stupid, like dropping mask rule and making capacity a full on crowd we might change our mind. Of if Delta screws us over again with flight changes. But for now, we are a go. Not sure how it will go, we probably won't do any indoor dining, but I figure even spending a bunch of time in our room, is better than being at home working especially after this year. Once our passes expire in Janaury, that's it for us for awhile, so we really need to be able to go.

I think DH will apply for a Chase CSP. He is 1/24 with 1 Chase personal and 2 Chase biz plus 3 other non-chase cards. His most recent card is over 1 year ago. Credit is excellent. My only concern is regarding CL. I know there are guidelines. Also, there is Total Available Credit and there is Chase-Only Totals. Which number is critical or does he need to consider both and what is recommended?

I don't know when it happened but Chase increased his CL quite a bit on one of his business cards...

Keep credit line of ALL Chase cards (personal+Biz+cobrands) below 50% (ideally 25-35%) of household income (or $70-80k max)
Other bank card's credit lines don't matter
SFF lowers all his limits to 30-35% of household income at least 2 weeks before new applications
I don't like to drop credit lines below $5k per card for flexibility in future PCs (and maybe keep one or two cards at $10k)

I'm flying into MCO and going to Viera to umpire the softball World Championships in two weeks. We have a tradition of one last good meal before the tournament starts and we don't get to eat for possibly 4 days. Now we had our place in Orlando when worlds was at WWoS but looking for a recommendation for Viera, Cocoa Beach area if anyone has one?

Ordered DS his next car seat!
View attachment 528446

We have an older version of that seat as our travel seat. It’s cute and it’s sort of decent as a car seat (my kids have nothing whines endlessly that the straps cut into their necks- it’s kind of a narrow harness). But it’s light and good for travel.

However it is a royal PITA to install- you might need a pool noodle and I suggest a car seat for the littles you tube video.

I saw a lot of reviews saying it was awful to install so we’ll see how it goes. My SIL and cousin both recommended the seat and it’s a cheaper option.
