Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

Do a split stay. We did last August. I had not stayed at the BC since it opened and my dh would not budge from the Poly, he loves the convenience. So I did 5 nights at each. I am a Poly girl at heart but my dh now likes the BC better. But we will see till do a split and spend more time at the BC.
We are only staying 5 nights. To us, a split stay would be more stressful to move, but that is a good idea for a longer stay. We like to unpack and settle in as soon as we get our room. We hate living out of a suitcase. I think we are just going to stay at Poly, at least that is the plan for now. We have a patio rented for three of our days. We are starting to get excited about the relaxed feel of the resort with the lush, tropical theme, not to mention the fact that we won't have to look for lounge chairs with an umbrella at the pool. :cool2:
YC will probably always be our "home" resort, but we need to remember, that it is fun to re-try different resorts from time to time. Heck, I would still rather stay at an All-Star Resort than to not go to WDW at all! :earsboy:

We have a cabana reserved for my 50th birthday in August. Were you able to request cabana 4? I would love to be further back from the pool but not sure how to ask for it.

From what I was told, they reserve the closest to the pool cabanas for full day reservations. When we arrived, several days before our cabana day, we went down to check them out and met the CM that monitors the cabanas. She was very nice and being that it was just 2 of us, and not having any kids, she suggested cabana 4. She mentioned she'd write the request down but of course no guarantees. On our cabana day, cabana 4 had our name on it. I'd make it a point to meet the cabana CM's prior and get the tour and go from there.

Thanks for posting those @bethan92 ! So happy you got to stay there! The rooms are all gorgeous, I especially love the dining room set & the rug there. And the picture you took of the lighthouse thru the window is absolutely amazing. I wish they sold that in the store, I would love a framed copy of that!! :goodvibes

We leave at 3:00am tomorrow morning for the hour drive to Philly airport. Flight leaves at 6:00am but we arrive at 8:30am :hyper: Decided to splurge for a town car plus we get a grocery stop. Can't wait to stay at the YC CL. If anyone has any requests for pictures let me know. Thanks to Dee and everyone who contributes here :goodvibes

I’d love a pic of the breakfast and hot appetizers in the afternoon.
Safe flight and have a great trip.

If it is not too much trouble, please take pics of the food/drink offerings. Also, if you are by chance in a standard view room, please take a pic of the view and the room number. I'm trying to figure out which of the standard view rooms has the best view. Thanks so much and have an amazing trip!

We have the same view booked and are going in a few weeks. I’d love to see the views to get an idea of what to ask for. Same on the food. I’m in the midst of canceling some ADR’s and trying to get a sense of if the food options in CL will be enough.
Have a great trip.

I’m not who you were asking, but I’ll include the view from room 5186 YC SV CL taken JUNE 2018. One of the photos shows the shared balcony from our balcony, we were 2 doors down from it (I think).
