Ordering Specialty MagicBands from Canada

I just wanted to share my experience ordering a specialty MB for my daughter yesterday.

As of Mon, May 20, 2019 a number of specialty MB's can be ordered for a cost of $10 in place of the plain coloured MB when staying at a Disney resort.

I tried numerous times throughout the day to order one but kept getting Stitch and an error screen. Later I found out I needed to switch my country to 'US' at the top of the MDE screen to complete my order. Once I did that I no longer saw stitch and was able to complete my order.

Not sure if others are experiencing similar troubles but if you are, try switching your country and see if that helps.

Hmmm, I got Stitch all day yesterday. Didn't switch anything, but could order fine today.

I'm in the US and it's still not working for me! I was able to customize the first one for my split stay after trying repeatedly, but I still can't get the one for the second half of my stay and I keep getting various error messages.

I'm also trying but today I just can't get the page to load on either the Canadian or US site. I see 'Your MagicBand Order' on the screen but nothing else. Guess the system is either overloaded or, they're still working out the glitches. Thankfully I have time before I need to submit MB orders for the second part of our stay. Personally, I'm waiting to see if they offer any new designs before I order for myself.

I am waiting a bit, though very excited to see this option. Kiddo wanted Black Panther which doesn't show up any more, when I can get to the choices that is. So I will wait, our trip is in August so I have time. Plus I can't decide which one I want.

Just a heads up that these have been very popular and some are already gone!! You may not want to wIt too long if you see what you want.

One other thing. I ordered a specialty band for my dd but a plain colour for me. I anticipated being able to go in and update mine but the system is not allowing it. Going to call IT and see if it’s an option or locked in.

When I switch to the US site yesterday I was able to get pasted stitch and select the bands but everytime I went to complete the order I got an error. Same thing was happening this morning and then most of the bands (including the one I was attempting to purchase) disappeared.

I was able to purchase yesterday once the switch to US site trick was mentioned in the resorts forum. Only saw stitch page on Cdn site. I was able to do so on my desktop & not through MDE mobile apps. People have mentioned having problems with payment. My account had a credit card attached to it already & at payment, it was already listed. Not sure if that made a difference. Good luck to everyone - I know I was frustrated for the hours I tried. The email confirmation comes from shopdisney. Wonder if IT is having problems integrating systems. There’s a surprise.

Keep at it — they do want our money!

I used the card attached to my account already as well. Disney isn't getting my money unless the band I want becomes available again because as of right now the choices are very limited.

is anyone else having issues getting the premium bands to show up, every time I go in to select my bands its only giving me the option of the 8 complimentary bands. I see all that different themes, but when I click on them if gives me a no results......
