Trying to roughly plan out the days... How long do you usually spend at a typical non-signature lunch or dinner TS meal, and a typical QS meal?

I am thinking 90 minutes from ressie begin time for TS meal, but I am hearing that many have to wait long for their tables, so many 90 minutes is not enough? For QS, 45 minutes if we order ahead? We eat at average speed..

Thoughts please?

Lots of variables at play here but I would say 30-45 minutes for quick serve and 60-90 minutes for table serve.

There's lots of factors at play. I think generally speaking we spend an hour at TS locations, but we eat at odd times and aren't trying to rush. For us meals are PART of the vacation.

Counter service, I think it depends what park/time of day/IS IT RAINING more than anything.

I generally budget 1 hour for QS and 2 hours for TS. Sometimes it takes longer to order and get our food than others, or we end up eating in shifts because DS2.5 chooses meal time to lose his mind and needs to go back outside for a lap in the stroller. At TS sometimes we wait a little bit to be seated, and/ or service can be slower, or if it's a character meal we wait a little to see all of the characters. When it takes less time than I budgeted I can only be pleasantly surprised. I think in reality the longest I've spent at a non-character meal from sign-in to walking out the door was 90 minutes, but I still budget the 2 hours anyhow.

It really depends on what time you're going, what restaurant, characters or not, and sometimes how large your group is.

If characters are involved plan 90mins at least! No characters it isn't as bad. The other thing is it depends on the restaurant. For example, we like to do the Ohana breakfast late, like some of the last reservations that almost make it a "lunch". Well we have found a few times they have gotten really behind and we have waited 45 min past our reservation just to get to the table.

Planning 2 hours is a good rule of thumb for table service.

Quick service again will depend on where you are going. Some places where you order your food and sit down it'll just depend on how fast you eat and how busy the line is.

I think you're good on time. 90 minutes is on the high side for me for TS but we don't order multiple courses. If you do I'd bump it to 2 hours.

45 is probably ok on QS too except if you have a super long wait at a peak time and don't use mobile ordering.

I always plan on 45-60 for a Counter Service and 90 min+ for a Table Service. To ease the time concerns I schedule PPO breakfasts, no lunch only snacks and then a dinner around 20:00 hours. I can get away with this because the closest I can get the girls to fireworks is Ohana's to Magic Kingdom close.
