Magic Bands Upgrade

I was finally able to order after getting all of the errors in the morning. I never got stitch, it was always just error or I got to where the bands should be showing and it said nothing found, or whateve the wording was that others were posting screen shots of. But late morning it finally let me see the options, and once I got in it continued to work because I couldn’t order until my kids and dh got home. When they were home i ordered Thanos and Sorcerer mickey for them, the HM for my DH, and I ended up picking the snacks one. It hasn’t been one I thought I wanted, but then as I was debating between the villains, stitch, and spaceship earth, I suddenly decided I liked that one with the pink background and food and picked it. I had no problems checking out, and got the confirmation right away. I’m so happy it went live today, we have a 3 way split stay and today was my last day to customize the last set of bands! So we got in by the skin of our teeth! Of course, we also have AP bands to choose, so we did have another chance. Now I’m thinking about ordering another set from thise. I want the castle one . It’s like an addiction- if they offer it I have to accept :sad2:.
 
OK...So I finally got it....You have to clear Cookies on the browser you're using...This did the trick for me... HTH:confused3

I just order the Epcot one. When I went to the WDW site I had to change the language from Canadian English to American English to get it to work on the mobile version to get it to work, after I submitted and confirmed everything I got a message from my bank that my card had been authorized outside of Canada.
 
We had no problem ordering our bands for late June trip. I wish they had the entire collection to choose from like some others wrote. I was hoping to get a Americana themed band. Still happy with the upgrade option though.
 


After getting errors saying that they couldnt complete my request and i retried a few times, I now have a bunch of pending charges on my credit card. Now i have to call both Disney and my bank to make sure nothing goes thru. What a hassle. I'll buy them in the park when I'm there.
 
Well folks, I ordered yesterday morning for our October trip & received an email from Disney destinations this morning at 5 am with a tracking # for our magic bands.

Perhaps they are not holding them & shipping them a couple of weeks before the trip???

We already have our magic bands for our June trip.

I am completely okay with this, as I wasn’t sure how Disney could “hold” the inventory for 5 months on the upgraded bands, and I can use them for our trip next month, but I’m thinking that could impact others afraid to lose them.
 
I tried many times yesterday and just tried this morning to upgrade our magic bands for our Aug trip. Still no luck. I have tried iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, iPad, and the computer. I have tried incognito. I just get an error on the computer and blank screens on the others. I am wondering if it is my account. I also have a Sci Fi reservation I modified that will not show up in MDE but I have the confirmation email and called and they said it was there and not sure why it is not appearing. Any suggestions? Or should I call Disney?
 


Called this morning and got everything corrected. They have been having technical difficulties but upgrades are going thru and you will only be charged once.

I just came here to say the same thing. I was shocked to see a tracking number, but makes sense for them to get them out of their hair!

That seems like an error - what happens if you cancel the reservation? You just get to keep 4 magic bands at $10/ each?

But you do have a point, there may be limited inventory for some of the more popular ones.
 
I didn't have any luck yesterday getting things through, but this morning it worked! Am I correct in thinking they will charge and ship right away or will it wait like normal and send?
 
I did this and finally got pasted the stitch are the page but then when I go to pay for my order I get an error and no matter how many times I hit try again nothing changes.

I also got a weird error that allows me to pick 2 magicbands for myself, so instead of 3 magicbands for my party I can choose 4.
I couldn't get anything to work on desktop, but got the same weird doubling error on mobile. So I tried to use Incognito mode on desktop and it worked, but now I get the weird doubling error there as well. I can choose 3 instead of just 2, one going to Miss Me, the other going to Ms. Me. It's super weird, since the "My Family & Friends" section shows the correct number of people.

I did just get an email that said "Estimated delivery 10 business days prior to your vacation." at the bottom. :)

I had to use the desktop and a different browser. No luck with Chrome. I had to use Firefox, clear everything etc.

I’ve read that if you cancel they charge you the extra $15 each on the credit card you used.

We have a bit over a month to reserve ours and I am torn with doing it now or waiting to see if inventory changes at all - would hate to pick something now and then something I like better becomes available later ... but also would hate for a number of options I like now to no longer be available

We are actually doing a split stay so have 4 to pick (just my wife and I) and I actually still have my Annual Pass one to select ... so maybe I will pick 2 or 3 now and then wait on the others

I know that the lady Villains one shows 'sold out' on Shop Disney, so I opted to order that right away for October since my daughters & I both wanted it and my husband really liked the Pirates one. We also have a split stay for October, so I just ordered the one set now. Trying to decide whether to order another set or, like you, wait and see what options they'll have when it gets closer to the trip. I'm not a patient person but I think I will wait it out on the balance of the bands since my daughters are fickle and what they obsess over now is completely different than what they will want once fall comes around.
