Disney's ALL-STAR MUSIC RESORT Information & Questions

Hello all

We just booked out next trip for mid Nov. we will be traveling with our son. This is our first time at the resort and first time ever at a value. We are only staying at a value because this was an impromptu trip and wanted to keep the price down because we are Canadian and the dollar is not great and we lose a lot on the conversion.

Same here. I had usually stayed at Moderates when our dollar was doing better. Went to ASMu last August. It was fine. There are some things I missed, like a double sink and slightly bigger room, but we used the room mainly to sleep. If you don't hang out in your room a lot, it's perfectly fine.

yes we are only planning at being at the resort for breakfast and sleeping

Speaking of coffee...

For the EEMH coming this fall, I'm pretty certain they're not going to open the food court early. Which is understandable. Does anyone know how early you can get coffee? It's my understanding there are NOT in-room coffee makers in regular rooms at Music. Is that correct? I'm trying to keep us all safe and alive for those early morning rope drops in September!

The Beverage Island at Intermission Food Court is open 24/7 for the Fountain Drinks, but it is hit and miss as to whether the coffee urns are "stocked" for the overnight period.

If there is no coffee in them overnight, they will usually be filled between 5:30 AM-6:00 AM.

I read somewhere that the pool will be closed for work from October 2020, has anyone seen this confirmed? It’s not on the Disney website that I can see. Does anyone know the exact date, and which pool?
Thanks!

I haven't heard this, but I know that if your pool is closed, you can use the pools at ASSports and ASMovies.

That's what I was thinking. Thanks! Looks like we will be packing our own travel coffee maker. ;)

Is there a hot water dispenser in the food court that I could use to get hot water for a french press coffee maker? I was really hoping they would have gotten to renovating ASMu by our trip time, but that's definitely NOT going to happen so no coffee maker in the room. Short of bringing a big coffee maker on the plane, or buying it buy the cup (or multiple refillable mugs), I think using a french press will be an economical way for 4 moms on a mom/daughter trip to get some coffee without spending a fortune. But I need a source of hot water. (And then have to hope we are near the food court - yes we paid for preferred).

I still might decide that it's just not worth the bother and we can all just get a mug or buy by the cup, but I want to know what my options are. Thanks!

I know my mom made hot tea when they stayed at the All-Star Sports, so I am sure there is a hot water dispenser.

We are facing this question for DH & me as well - he drinks coffee and I drink hot tea. During regular hours, I've always found hot water at the food courts. However, for the super early hours we will be there (EEMH in September), there's no guarantee there will be coffee/water available before the food courts open. So, I've purchased a small single-serve coffee maker (that will do grounds or K-cups) at Walmart. We will pack it in a suitcase & take it along. For the $20 it cost, even if we only use it two mornings, it will be worth it. We are flying Southwest (and there are 4 of us), so we can check more bags than we really need to take. I'm considering just packing an extra suitcase with the coffee maker and other items to take with us. We're also going to have an air mattress to bring back with us (because the HORROR of accidentally touching your sibling in the bed at night), so if we take snacks that we eat while we're there, it will leave a perfect spot to bring that air mattress back. ;)
