My DD just snagged two nights in a one bedroom for the second week of Sept. by stalking. She booked a third night in a reg. one bedroom. I thought those rooms are always in demand plus with star wars just opening up, unbelievably someone didn't have a waitlist that would have grabbed it.

I've been looking for some recent info on the lounge there, but everything seems to be more than a year old. I've tried search, but didn't find anything . Can someone point me in the right direction?

Did you try the Resorts Board (not this DVC Resorts Board)? If you are looking for info about the Club Lounge, it's the same lounge for people staying in the regular rooms paying for Club Level, and maybe more people have been posting there than here.

I was there in April of this year in a 1BR. What do you want to know?

We stay there at least six times a year and I can tell you that there haven’t been too many changes over the past year or so if you’re seeing older threads. They had soups out during the lunch hours in the winter, not sure if that’s continuing through the summer. Feel free to bounce any questions if you have anything specific you’re wondering!

We were there the last week of April and the lounge was awesome! Breakfast they put out the usual lounge food but also had a turkey / cornbread bake that was awesome! They also had a hash a few mornings that was just as good. We never went during lunch time but did a few evenings. They always had some sort of soup or chowder and cold meats and cheeses.

Thank you.

Several years ago DD did Club level at Poly, but it sounds all club service over WDW has declined over the years, so I was curious.

I've never been myself.

Are the DVC rooms are the same floor as the lounge? Does the lounge every really close for things like coffee, soda? Do they have bottle /cans of water/soda to take back to room?

I'm rather shocked she was able to get the room.

The DVC rooms are all on the same floor as the lounge, yes! It makes things very easy.

They shut down the lounge in terms of beverages around 10pm. Coffee service starts at 6:30 most days, and the food comes out at 7am. They do have cans of assorted drinks in a mini-fridge (they change them out for the afternoon service) that you can take back to the room.

One-bedrooms are easier than studios. I was able to add on a day for our December trip last year about two months out for a one-bedroom. The studios are true unicorns, lol.

These probably don’t fit your request for recent as they were last year, but these reports may be helpful. I agree with @pangyal in that I haven’t seen any more reports that sound like things are substantially different lately.

AKL

AKL CL - April 2018

AKL CL - Oct 2018 (breakfast only)

AKL CL was the last CL we tried, but in our opinion it’s a gem. All of them have pros and cons, but from a pure CL/lounge/offerings perspective, AKL CL is tops on our list.

Since we had a bad real life year and disney took a back seat we had points that were use or lose. I've never rented points out, so DD was just looking, looking.....and 2 nights popped up in the one bedroom. Now my understand is she will be able to use the lounge the third day even though she has checked out of club and will be moving in a "reg" DVC one bedroom. True?

Thank you, I'm going to pass these on to DD.

GADisneyDad14, hmmm after checking out those breakfast pictures, I'm thinking a one bedroom holds 5. I'm positive DD and her husband won't mind me coming along.

Yes, that’s true. Our DME pick up was not until 12:45 PM you n our checkout day. We took our checked bags to RAC and left our carry on with bell services. After our 11 AM checkout, we hung out in the lounge and grabbed a light lunch.

Good to know. They are planning on more resort / less park trip. This will be a kid free trip.

You will have access for the full 3rd day. The issue you will run into is if your magic band is checked into both rooms once the regular room is ready it will remove access to the club level elevator. You can go to the front desk to get a card that will grant you access.

Thanks, I'll be sure to let DD know.
