2 rooms booked for same time period only need 1...

I'll lay odds it was something else to it other than just 2 paid in full rooms
I've done it too many times. As recent as last year
And I won't hesitate to do it again

That would be my guess too as I can't find any posts of that happening to see the details.

Heck, I currently have 3 reservations booked for my DH & myself for the exact same dates in December. Yes, 3. One is a free dining bounce back booked last September, one a room discount bounceback booked in February & 1 is a discount from Priceline I just booked this week. All 3 are linked to my MDE account. As soon as Disney releases information on what is going to happen with Galaxy’s Edge admissions & fastpass situations I will decide which one resort reservation will work & cancel 2 of them. But since everything is a secret, I am keeping my options open.

The CM never said a word about my free dining bounceback when I booked the room discount reservation in February. And I even called back weeks later to see if any other resort options opened. Again, CM never said a word about me having 2 different bounceback reservations booked at 2 different resorts for the exact same dates.

I would gladly just have one reservation, but if I go online and try to remove the extra day on the longer one, it won’t let me. So I am keeping both until our flights are booked in a few weeks.

It makes all the sense in the world that I can book a room for 11/29-12/8 but there is no availability for 11/30-12/8.

They went along with “industry standard” of deciding that sometimes they want a minimum booked. That’s why they do that. It’s a bummer.

Point is, if someone has two reservations but only needs (plans to use) one, very likely others wanting the same reservation will be unable to book.

Oh please. Everything I've booked still has availability at the same rates for the same dates. I've checked. Spare the me piety.

And in fact, there is a ton of availability for our dates at nearly every resort at the AP discount, the Florida resident discount, the regular room-only discount. Does it bother you that Disney gives courtesy holds of up to 3 days without even a deposit? Because they do that. Instead of having my husband call and get a courtesy hold on a room, I just went ahead and paid for both. I'm not doing anything wrong here, and a CM confirmed that. Nice try though, Jiminy Cricket.

In my cases I booked multiples rooms because I planned to use multiple rooms. I never tied any up while waiting for something to be released
