What would you do? Solo edition

I consider myself a Disney expert but wanted to get some input from everyone else.

My question here is add on events. I have a solo trip on July and unfortunately right now none of the after hours are happening in July while I’m there. That would be my first choice.

If they don’t extend into July for DHS and AK what add on would you do?

Morning Magic at MK
Morning Magic at DHS
Frozen Ever After Dessert Party
Something else?

I’ve only ever done the Star Wars dessert party in terms of those.

I'd do one of the morning magics based on your preferred park.

My choices for you and your fascination for all things AK:
Wild Africa Trek
Savor the Savanna

You’ve ridden all the rides multiple times at all the parks and I’m pretty sure you rode FoP 3 consecutive times during 1 day at AK. ;)

Keys to the Kingdom would also be a good choice.

All more expensive options ;)

I wouldn't do the dessert party solo. My friend and I did it last Nov and it was fun and it was nice to have a spot for the fireworks without worrying about it. I liked the party for the star wars one better though. I did 2/3 of the Nov trip solo and did MVMCP and had no trouble "sneaking" in to a decent spot 10ish min before the 1st castle lighting which is close to ask packed as fireworks. I came from liberty square and stayed along the sidewalk towards main street until I could see a bit of an opening. It's easier to wander through and find a place for one than it is to find it for more than that.

With that I wouldn't do a morning magic because I think most/all can be done with a decent rope drop strategy and there are better places to get breakfast. Plus being solo it's so much easier to get more fp throughout the day. So in the end none of the options you gave, I'd rather do a meal somewhere new or repeat one. After hours is the only add on for a solo that makes sense to me, which I'm doing in Aug. It'll let me ride stuff more than once or not make FP for MK if I don't want to. The after hours and the Pandora party are actually making my fp plans harder to figure out since I know I'll get on those rides without a problem.

I am solo all the time. I'm doing the Halloween party and the ROL dessert party. I was hoping for EMM at HS by they don't think it's going to be happening while I'm there. It's all fun!

I travel solo a fair amount. I'm a morning person - so I would do Morning Magic at DHS. I think the new Toy Story Land is miserable to navigate - crowds, no shade, no AC, hard to get FP's for SDD. I really like all three of the rides - and the line for Jessie and Woody is miserable. It's outside and not fully shaded.

The expensive add-ons at AK are nice..... but I love that park without them - and if you REALLY get to the park at least an hour in advance - or can wait until close - FOP is doable if you can't get a FP.

I don't think I'd pay for Morning Magic at MK as a solo. You can get a FP for PP. You MIGHT be able to get one for 7DMT. The other things open in the morning - if you time it right - the lines aren't that bad all day - and if you wait until close - not bad then, either.

Out of all of those events I’ve only ever done the FEA dessert party and really enjoyed it but if I was going on a solo trip I think I’d go for the EMM at HS like previous posters. The ride selection appeals to me more than the MK EMM and I think the breakfast is supposed to be better (like you’re really going for the food :-)).

AK is my favorite park. I do have a FoP FP already. I may look at one of the other AK add ons. I’ve done both the rhino and elephant tour already.

I’ve got a Pan and Mine train FP as well.

I did TSL EMM and the FEA dessert party on my last trip. If you adore Illuminations, I would do FEA since that’s going away. The food and drinks were much better than the HEA party and the view is so close you can feel the heat. I didn’t love the show so it’s a one and done for me. They put you with another party at a table - we had a great conversation about Disney stuff.

I got to ride SDD 5x and TSM 1x during EMM. Aliens was down, but they said we could use our wristbands as a FP later. Breakfast was decent. If you want to ride Slinky more than once or sneak glimpses of Star Wars construction, it’s better than rope drop, but it isn’t as good as DAH for sure.

Even as a (non local) pass holder I consider DAH worth the $ but if you can’t do that, it depends on what your priorities are for the trip.

All great points, and you may be able to pick up a same day FP in the afternoon as we were on our last trip (on a fairly busy day, too!)

Does stuff like Wild Africa Trek book up in advance? I'd like to wait a little bit before booking it if that's what I choose.

You can book now to hold a spot and then Cancel if DAH is added.

The cancellation guidelines are basically the same as for other add-ons:
“You will forfeit the entire price of your tour if you no-show or cancel within 2 days of your reservation.”
