Finally got through at 55 minutes (originally quoted 30). I was only after a Eat to the Beat pkg reservation so it was probably overkill waiting as long as I did but my it's for DD birthday trip and she wanted a specific time/restaurant so...The CM I spoke with was great and we got exactly what we wanted.
I only want an eat to the beat package too. This is our first time. Are you on the dining plan? If so is it one credit or two? Thank you

Well, I'm in for Parisian Breakfast for 10/5. I didn't realize it was nonrefundable... but since I invested 60+ minutes on the phone call, I just went for it. It's only $90 if our flights don't work out.:confused3

Forgot all about this.

So after debating with myself I booked the PFTS on 11/9. 5 minutes on hold lot's of availability according to CM. (Things certainly have changed, a few years ago I would not have gotten one of the limited first day bookings for this 3 hours after opening of booking)

See you there. I booked that night too. Pretty great list of celeb chefs. I’m looking forward to it.

Just found it. The Regional luncheon is now 125 + tax
I'm glad you posted this as I booked this too. My CM never told me the cost and didn't read me the cancellation details. Good thing I have been booking for years. She also said she didn't need guest names so now I need to update that in MDE. I hope she gets up to speed by tomorrow!

Same here. Thanks for posting, I just went to my MDE and updated.

I called regular dining number at 8:56 am and got through no problem. Booked PFTS for Nov 9th easily. Needed my reservation number to get through to the person in the first place. Then she wanted my AP number but I didn't have it with me. I was still able to book with the AP early booking. If I wanted to use my DVC early booking ability she said I'd have to be transferred to the DVC number. I didn't want to do that so I said use AP of course. Good luck everyone!
I was on with Member Services at 0859 and was quoted a hold time of 14 min....then 25 min....then 30 minutes. I had to return to work so I just called the regular dining line and had to wait 55 minutes. Got the Tequila lunch thing and an Eat to the Beat dining package.

I’m on the DVC line and the wait time keeps increasing.
Same for me. It ended up being ok with my calling the dining line because I have a split stay and the cm just be looked everything with my AP.

There is only ONE event that I needed to book...the Parisian Afternoon on October 19. My younger daughter first wanted to try this event when she was 11 years old and she loved it. Now, it is our "special" thing that we do together. Last year, I called on the "pre-booking" day for DVC members and I got shut out and had to try again when general booking opened. I was so worried today because I have to be in class all day tomorrow so I knew if I didn't get it today, I may not get it at all. I tried calling this morning from work around 9:45am (which was as soon as I was available) but I was quoted a 45 minute wait time. Well, that wasn't going to work (I work as a paramedic so no telling when I would get a call) so I had to wait until I was on my way home at 5:30. At that point, I got right through and to my surprise, I was able to get us booked:banana:. This will be our 3rd time at this event and my daughter will be 14 years old this time around. She is really looking forward to taking pictures of all of the food and I can't wait for unlimited mimosas:drinking1.

I booked on the DSS for club level guest. Got right through. I have an non-activated AP pass, I did not know if it would work, so l gave it a try. As long as you have purchased your AP and it is linked to MDE you are good to go...... yea!

Either because of the change in the booking dates or because Disney has finally started pricing people out, the last few years things have been much easier to book. I was actually surprised that there weren’t more cut backs to the special events this year after last year.

Glad I looked back at this thread. i forgot that we could book our reservations today for the Food and wine Pairings. Looking forward to them again!

We were able to get the Hibachi Experience for our first choice of dates. Definitely easier than when I called last year. Waited on the phone about 15-20 minutes. The FEST number worked out better for us than the regular dining phone number- less time on hold.

Good luck to anyone who books tomorrow.
