Am one of the only ones excited to be going during food & wine. It is still seriously my favorite time to be there!

We will be in the area in a two bedroom villa at the Marriott for other business for three weeks this year. Looking forward to hopefully one special event a week and several days strolling around the world.
We love F&W but we aren't local and have only experienced 2 of them (2012 or 2015 and last year).

This October will be my first time at F&W - so excited! Does WDW ever have a "sip and savor" pass for the different booths, as Disney California Adventure does?
I know we did this in either 2012 or 2015 but the deal was a lanyard that had 10 or 12 rip-off tabs that you exchanged for whatever item you wanted from the booth. It is no longer offered.

Another booking question - what time do the phone lines open for booking on May 15. 7:00 am eastern?

Still nothing about early bookings for AP?

Thanks! Is there an “official” announcement from Disney about when booking starts? I am traveling with limited access to phone & internet so I called Disney to ask about AP booking and the cast member would not even confirm even the May 15 date. Reminded me that the Disney food blog is not an official Disney site. Pointed me at Disney parks blog

I'm on my phone, but I went to the official Disney site and copied this off of one of the special event listings.

"Beginning May 15, 2019, you can reserve your spot at this limited-time event.

For reservations, please call (407) 939-3378. If you’re a Disney Vacation Club Member, you may book by calling Member Services at (800) 800-9800. Guests under 18 years of age must have parent or guardian permission to call.

Advance reservations are highly recommended—so act soon to secure your spot! This event is part of the 2019 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, which takes place August 29 to November 23, 2019."

I'm planning to be on the phone at 7am eastern on the 15th.
I will also have my fingers crossed that all the events will be loaded in the system when the phone lines open.:rolleyes2

If you talk to 10 cast members you get 10 answers:)

All they are saying here is that DVC members can call MS in addition to the 407 #. Nothing here says we can call on the 14th.

Does anyone know if these events are bookable outside the 180 day window? I want to book the tequila lunch for the last week of the festival, would be great to get one ADR out of the way before the rest of my booking window opens.

Also do you have to call? Eek. I'll be at work, not sure I can take a break long enough to ring WDW.

Disney Food Blog says on their front page that APs can book the 14th too but when you read further it is unofficial and AP Services hadn’t confirmed.

@rubysparkles good question about the 180 day window. I’m not sure it’s ever been an issue before (we haven’t booked this early and the festival hasn’t run this long). I think it’s just that last ~10 days that is outside the window. For early booking it is phone only (or has been). Once regular booking opens, I believe the demos, beverage seminars, pairings, and regular Party for the Senses tickets can be done online. The various special meals and Wine View Lounge I think have to be done on phone. Depending on what you’re trying to book, I wouldn’t stress too much... it seems like things haven’t been selling out as quickly as they used to. And remember, they do not release all “inventory” for early booking.

I think the only thing you have to call in for on day 1 is WVL for PFTS.

Any thoughts on French Family Meal or Italian Wine vs. Beer? I haven’t done either and am planning on choosing one for this year.

Thank you! So on the 14th it starts at 9:00

Would any happen to know yet what number AP holders use on May 14.

As always I am beyond grateful for all the information on these boards and for how helpful everyone is!

I’d assume either 407-WDW-FEST (407-939-3378) or the regular dining line 407-WDW-DINE (407-939-3463)
