Disney's POP CENTURY RESORT Information & Questions

If you want to make sure you have your luggage, you can just not put the luggage tags on, then pick it up yourself from baggage claim. They will put it under the same bus that you are on, and you retrieve it when you get to the resort! If your room isn't ready you could then leave it with the luggage service (not sure what it's officially called) and either have them deliver it (for a fee) or pick it up! A little more work but sometimes worth it to have your bags when you want them.

Thank you! This is likely what we will do next time.

There is not a 'fee' for Disney to deliver your luggage, they deliver luggage for free. There is an optional tip but Pop will deliver all luggage for free.

Packages and groceries incur a fee.

That’s exactly what we do. We go practically every year and have never used the tags. It’s worth it just to have peace of mind and being able to settle in as soon as we get there. Don’t forget to tip your bus driver for handling your bags.

I’m sure this has been asked before, but this will be the first time I’ll be staying onsite since 2011 and I’ve never had such a late flight on my checkout day...how does late checkout work? When do you request it? How late can you stay in your room? (Basically If we wanted to spend our last day at the pool before catching the ME back to MCO, will we be able to shower and pack everything up.)

Call housekeeping the day before and ask about late check out.

How late can you stay in your room?

If approved, 1:00PM for free. 3:00PM for 1/2 nightly rack rate and until the next day at 11AM for a full night rack rate.

(Basically If we wanted to spend our last day at the pool before catching the ME back to MCO, will we be able to shower and pack everything up.)

There are showers and lockers at the pool you can use.

When we had a late flight in the past we left our room by 11:00, checked our bags with luggage services and then picked them up before heading to the airport.

If you choose this option, (as opposed to paying for late check-out, if available, as @dansdad described above) be sure to leave enough time for luggage services to retrieve your bags as that area seems to be extremely busy these days.

I've got a question about the security checks, and I recognize my question may be on the ridiculous side.

My husband and I honeymooned at Pop last June--I have been to pop 3 times and we are now planning our 4th stay for next June (with my 11-year-old sister in tow for her first visit). We love it! The only problem was that we were at the parks from open until about 1, and then back out again at 4ish, putting us in our room at midday, when CMs would come through and do the security checks. We were usually napping/wanting to nap at that time so it was fairly disruptive.

I totally understand the need for security checks and am happy to let them into our room at literally any other time. Is there anyway to request this? I know that basically defeats the whole purpose, so u likely, but I wanted to check TIA!

We go practically every year and are always back at our room around the same time as you and have never had a security check at that time. In fact we’ve never witnessed a security check yet.

In 2 weeks of almost daily afternoon breaks at that time we were only in the room for 2 security checks. I would doubt they let you schedule them but it wouldn’t hurt to ask.

Security checks only began about 16 months ago. Not sure how many visits you’ve made since then.

We were there in Aug last year and had security checks 2/3 afternoons when we were in our room.

When you guys place orders for snacks and water bottles to be delivered to your resort, where do you order from and how early before arriving?

Garden Grocer is one option that we have used. You get a discount for placing your order early. We just ordered about 2 weeks ahead of time, but with that, only one delivery window was available. Typically I order 30+ days early, but ordered later this time.

We’ve been twice for a total of 12 nights and never had a security check while we were in our room in the afternoon.

We have ordered from Garden Grocer several times. I always order more than 30 days before arrival for the bigger discount. I always request a delivery time before our arrival and have always gotten it.

Can I add to this question?

What does the resort charge for receiving?
No charge for receiving but if it is delivered to the front office there is a charge for delivery to your room. No charge if it’s like Garden Grocer and it’s left at Bell Services.

It was a daily occurrence last year. Not the biggest inconvenience or anything but it interfered with our ability to rest, is all.

There’s a bus to Disney Springs?! Yay!!! For some reason I was thinking the buses only went to the parks.
