***Official*** Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Information Thread *** Contains SPOILERS ***

I would also love to see how it plays out over both coasts over time. At some point, people will ride this ride numerous times. If several fails or several splendid runs provide an even grander reputation among the villagers for you as either a great or terrible known pilot over the years...
And it's bound to happen that someone who want's to do well is paired with someone that wants to tank the mission.

Interesting. You are required to have a timed entry pass to get into SWGE so the only ones to line up should be people with the first time slot otherwise why bother?
like I said before to be at the front of the pack. @rteetz does provide a good point, we don't know the amount of people going into each time slot. Let's say it's one thousand. If you line up early for your time slot you'll be able to have more time inside the land. Will they allow only one time to ride MFSR? will they allow multiple rides? no one knows yet but being at the front will allow you more time to explore the entire land, maybe play more with the app, get more food, enjoy the shops

My main point being, it should not be the massive line we have seen for some past events where a bazillion stars wars fans camp out overnight for a massive street party.

Will Disney be setting up separate queues for each entry time?

I am sure some people will want to be at the front of their slot to be first in the land/not have a mass of people impacting their view of the land as they enter

I also think people just like hanging out before the opening of something and it becomes bit of a community, etc. - so Disney probably figured some people would do this anyway so might as well have a structure in place to handle it. Especially at Disneyland where if they didn't have a spot for people to go they would just be out on the street

I remember showing up 3 to 4 hours early (at least) when phantom menace came out. Even though we all had tickets, we still got their bonkers early. Granted part of that was to make sure you were at the front of the rush to get good seats.

Just found this video of DL 50th. This person got to DL at 2am and the line stretched into DCA. A strong indicative as to why DL decided to go the reservation route. Interfering with another park is a big no-no. It's funny cause the guy in the video says "I'm starting to get loopy" I know that feeling well, have experienced it during SW opening day movies, Celebration, SWW

Well, I for one was a fan of that experience with the Star Wars Weekends from the past- it was like one big party with my Star Wars breathren all weekend long! :)

The Falcon responsibilities being randomly chosen is VERY smart, although I'm sure there will be people begging to be gunners or pilots.

Or the grown woman with anxiety she will “screw up” someone else’s ride. :rolleyes1
That'll be me. Unless they have smaller groups go alone? We'll be 3, and my 2 boys are tech wizards, and if anyone ends up with us I will be the one to screw up the mission. Yep. Which position should I be in (assuming we actually get in) at DW if I'm the worst of all?

Includes air, hotel (All Stars Music, Caribbean Beach, or Animal Kingdom Lodge), special magic bands, “immersive dining”, Star Wars dessert party, early access, an hour in the park with no rides to explore. Having re read it, particularly the very small print, I wonder whether the exclusive hour is just a normal EMH. They do refer to GoG being open in 2019. I wonder if they know something.

I posted about this a while ago - it’s not from 1st Feb, it’s later than that and only departing on 15th Feb from the UK (unless they have added extra dates I’ve missed). I’m there in this timeframe (not using this package) and hoping it means that Resistance will deff be open! :-)

Colored Wristbands to be used to enforce 4-hour access window in Galaxy's Edge - CMs will deny access to the Falcon ride and the stores, etc. if your color doesn't correspond to an active time and sounds like if you are there well past your time slot and the land is too crowded, eventually you will be asked to leave more directly

Interesting

also thought it was interesting that they say: “Four hours is a long time in the land,” Theiler said. “Most guests are going to find that they’re ready to roll after four hours.”

um, have you met Star Wars fans? Plus with all the stuff they are pushing with the app and stuff seems like they want to provide things to keep you busy for a long time in the land beyond the attraction(s) ..... but maybe they are just saying this to further motivate people to not plan to stay longer than their time slot

very similar to what they did with Pandora previews. We got a time slot to ride FoP and NRJ but then were allowed to stay in the land, just weren't able to ride again. Now if they are not clearing everyone between time slots that will make the "clearing if the land is too crowded" very difficult

yes, 4 hours will not be enough for a Star Wars fan to live their SW story :) I'm hiding in the bathroom :D
