Exactly, those of us from the West coast would appreciate it. We aren't night owls here, but Midnight there is 9 PM to us and 6 AM feels like 3 AM.
There are always ways to accomplish this, they could even say EMH doesn't include SWGE until two hours after park closing or they could say that SWGE closes to non resort guests two hours prior to park closing.
Revamp Fantasmic! To make it an amazing show with new special effects and run one show at park closing time. Do the same for the Fireworks.
No perfect solution there, but things could be done.
It's a 13.1 mile race that this year is held on Nov 3rd only. The days prior are races of other distances (5k and 10k respectively). There's other dates of races, but they aren't until 2020.What is the half marathon? Is that one day? I plan on going to DHS on Wednesday which would be the 6th.
Not really absurd at all, they used to offer a lot more evening EMH, saying that I don't like them removing them and providing the reason why is perfectly reasonable. When I go to Disneyland from the East Coast, I don't whine that they're not open at 5 a.m. because it would feel like 8 a.m. to me.
Absolutely absurd.
Wine and dine weekend runs from Oct. 31st through November 3rd.What is the half marathon? Is that one day? I plan on going to DHS on Wednesday which would be the 6th.
I was commenting that it is possible to offer both early and late, excuse me if you took offense to the idea. Then don’t. No one is forcing anyone. Just plan on going in the evening and waiting it out.

Except evening EMH were always less crowded and we simply didn't adjust, then we we're always eating at off times and crowds were smaller.3 hours is not that hard to adjust to, at an hour a day you’ll have adapted in a few days.
6am there is 8pm to us, but we’ll also adjust and we’ll be there then.

You don't know that they can't. That's probably what they WILL do this Christmas, when the resistance ride opens in SWGE. I mean, they are doing 6am to 10pm in SEPTEMBER! With the flagship ride not open! What will they do when Christmas and the ride both kick in? They will wish that they can open 30 hours a day.Again, sorry for the inconvenience but Disney simply cannot keep the park open 24 hours so no one has to make sacrifices.
No they can’t. Disney has forgone 24 hour days because it’s too hard. Overnight a ton of maintenance is done. You don't know that they can't. What do you mean, "forgone"? They used to do it? If they've done it before they can do it again. Maintenance can wait. Just today in the afternoon, I counted 6 rides in MK that's "temporarily closed."No they can’t. Disney has forgone 24 hour days because it’s too hard. Overnight a ton of maintenance is done.
Yes they used to have a 24 hour day once a year. What do you mean, "forgone"? They used to do it? If they've done it before they can do it again. Maintenance can wait. Just today in the afternoon, I counted 6 rides in MK that's "temporarily closed."
You assume that ROTR will be open by Christmas, at present that seems highly unlikely. A more realistic expectations would be after Mickey and Minnies Runaway Railway at the rate things are apparently going. You don't know that they can't. They have in the past, when Captain EO opened at Disneyland they were open for something like 72 hours straight. They got around the maintenance issues by scheduling downtime for each ride. If they were going to do a 24 hour schedule on a longer basis, they would have to do it by land, but it could be done. But there would be logistics of how to handle admission, I realistically couldn't see more than a 22 hour day for that very reason, with 20 hour days being more likely.Yes they used to have a 24 hour day once a year.
No you don’t understand what goes into a maintenance schedule and how Park operations work. They could never do multiple days of 24 hours. Rides are not designed to operate like that.
Today’s Disney ain’t going to do it. Maybe a one day event again but they would never do several days. Just not going to happen. They have in the past, when Captain EO opened at Disneyland they were open for something like 72 hours straight. But 24 hours days can be done and have been done many times in the past, in fact gradnites used to essentially be 24 hours before they did the switch to mixins. Or very close to it, the park would close at 6 AM and reopen by 8 AM, sometimes 7 AM.
All of the reports I have heard of the fact the ride still can't run more than 20 minutes at a time without breaking down and requiring a 2+ hour reset.Based on what? Disney has notes it will open before the end of the year and I’ve heard the same.
