Disney's CARIBBEAN BEACH RESORT Information & Questions

Got a call from CBR trying to "upgrade" our entire stay to the Pirate Rooms. No thanks. They can't get us into 10 nights of a standard room and we're okay with the move.

(We have a split stay, one night in Pirate Room, 9 nights in Standard Room-5th Sleeper)

Now, if they wanted to upgrade us to a preferred room, we would take it.

Rep said that buildings 44 & 45 were full, which I'm assuming means that they are full for part of our stay. They were going to try building 46.

They didn't offer a different resort?

Can you tell me what dates you're going? We'll be there in 10 days, so I'm curious how far out they're contacting people.

Based on previous posts they are there somewhere around 5/5.

Personally on a side note, I would be great with an upgrade to Pirate Room if I booked a standard room especially on a deal. Obviously would rather have a Deluxe if they would do it. I'm one of the weird ones about Trinidad at CBR though. Once the Skyliner opens up it would be an upgrade from standard easily.

I think this is happening for next week because of the cheerleading camp. At least that is why I was told I was upgraded

We arrive Sunday night. We received an odd email from CBR Cust service that said because we were booked in two separate classes, they couldn't keep us in the same room the whole time and to call/email them. Odd because we never thought they would.

Anyhow, my wife called and that's when they said we could stay in a Pirate room our entire stay. We declined.

The rep did say that she was walking around CBR the other day and that most of the fences were down with construction only at the northern-most Aruba buildings.

Nope. The rep said she was going to try to get us into building 46 (Jamaica).

We have a long stay, so I'm not anticipating an upgrade. We're also booked in the lowest category (standard - 5th sleeper).

Thank you both!

I'll be there the week after you, Jcon, when there's another cheerleading competition, although it's a little bit smaller. Since I've seen a couple of people on here get upgraded to deluxe, I'm keeping my eyes open for any 407 area code phone calls!

Seems like the construction in the Standard sections is getting close to done. Someone posted a few photos of Aruba and all of the fencing is down and looks like they are working on re-assembling the landscaping now. I think Jamaica 41 is one of the last areas, but sounds like it won't be much longer.

doubt its going to happen but we arrive a week today. Would love an upgrade to a deluxe hotel. Its my wife and I's first time ever without our 4 rugrats so we definitely are not looking for something like a pirate's room instead of our king size bed room.

Gutted this year we were not going to my beloved CBR...kids wanted AOA and AKL...turns out our flight was changed and we had to add a day to the vacation....yep you guessed it!! CBR!!! its only one night but hey...Im getting back for a night...wooot!!! looking forward to that last night...

Right? We ate there May 17-21 and also Dec 9-13. We are in a Prefered room in May and a Pirate room in December. Really looking forward to the conversation once of the Skyliner for that Dec trip!

Booked the 3rd week of August. Good price and discounts. Hoping the skyliner will be running and hopefully parks will be slow before the Swge madness begins.

What are the chances on getting a connecting room? I have 2 rooms booked for 5 adults Nov 6th-10th for the Food & Wine. This is a girls trip that we have been planning for over a year. Any tips or suggestions to get some PIXIE DUST for connecting rooms?
