Fool jumps out of BTM to retrive his phone

What a stupid move. That phone could've hit someone in the back of the train as it appears he was towards the front of the train. I hope Disney kicked him out and barred him. Hopefully, the other riders was able to go back through the line and get on a train without waiting.

Exactly. There was a time, years ago, when CMs were checking regularly to see if the lap bar did go down as far as it could to minimize that gap between different sized passengers in the same seat. That phase didn't last long, but it was interesting -- and not that comfortable for the larger passenger.

I always keep my hands/forearms slightly raised on my lap to prevent the CMs from smashing the lap bar all the way down. Not for the purpose of trying to escape my seat but because its uncomfortable when it's too tight.

At a minimum, he should have been kicked out of the park for the rest of the day, perhaps the rest of his trip. He's the kind of person I loathe. Someone who thinks the rules don't apply to them and they can do as they please without consequence.

If you were on this ride, that was suspended because of another's bad behavior, would you ask for a FP to do the ride again?

Definitely would ask for a FP. It wasn't our fault we had to get off the ride and usually it takes a few minutes for ride maintenance to get the ride back up and running after an E-stop. (My wife used to be an attractions CM and told me the story when she had to E-stop the tea cups as a guest switched cups as the ride was moving!)

I believe they typically give out FPs to those affected. Once on Space, they had to clear us manually (we didn't have to get out of the carts. It was an easy reset and we got to just ride again. Dinsey will make it right.

Yes, a total tool. This is an extreme situation, but is nonetheless an example of why rides go down. People get so (understandably) frustrated with rides being down, but reality is that most ride shut downs are guest caused...again with this one being on the supreme end of moron-ity.

I agree. Although we’d have never seen this if some other person had their cell phone out during it all.

Based upon the photo in the corner of the video (the individual who posted the video), it sure looks like the young woman riding behind the moron and they were all together--at least it appears that way given the conversation going on between the four of them. Guessing daughters riding behind moron and mom. It was moron who was videotaping his own antics, even the exit.

The guy taking the video was at the back of the train. The guy who got out was up near the front. He drew an arrow to point out the guy

Thanks, guess I wasn't paying close enough attention because I thought the guy in the video was the one who lost his phone and jumped out. Makes sense to me because he is shooting video on his phone that it was his phone that went flying. Sorry for calling him the moron. . .guess I better go back and look again to see the "arrow" I missed.

I think it’s okay to wonder if he is also a moron. Unless he had a wrist lanyard, it could have been his phone flying out and slamming one of the young ladies (his daughters?) in the back row.

I use a phone ring and have taken fun video on Barnstormer. Not brave enough to try it on Big Thunder though!
