Disney's CARIBBEAN BEACH RESORT Information & Questions

Another quick question.

Would it be feasible to mobile order from Spyglass and walk over to pick up before bring back to own pool (usually Jamaica) or room? Or would it be better to walk over and eat there?

Thanks indeed.

Just left yesterday wonderful time. Was in building 25 Martinique . No noise from construction or above floor.
Room for our 5 person family well. Easy walk to bus or OPR
Food was edible not great but amusement park quality.
Opted out if housekeeping but can’t tell if anyone ever room checked at all. As out garbage was never touched and was slightly confused what to go with it as there was no big bins etc.. I left it by housekeeping cart one day jammed it in him the next etc not sure what right option was
All in all would stay there again
Thanks everyone especially Dansdad for all your help

Probably a weird question but I’m booked in a CBR preferred room for 6 days for the 20 anniversary party.

Ive just found out the signature scent for the resort is coconut- now the smell of coconut, if it’s very strong, can give me headaches and make me ill. So I tend to avoid or move away from places/people who are doused in it.

So I am wondering how smelly a smell is it and secondly where is it. As if it is only in the lobby and strong I can suffer through check in then avoid the area for the rest of the trip.

Although if it’s in the rooms might need to send guest services a note beforehand and bring some frebreeze in my luggage.

Gotta say in all our stays at CBR, and there's been a lot, the only time we've ever smelled coconut at all has been at the pool when someone right next to us is oiling up.

The lobby has a strong scent but I'm not sure I would call it coconut ... I could be off base but it seemed more flowery to me.

So after seeing someone get a pin the other day I was thinking that would be some nice pixie dust while I am there in 2 weeks. Then today I get a call and they said because of the cheerleading camp they wanted to upgrade me to a deluxe. So I got upgraded to a lake view room at the Contemporary!! Score!!!
We arrive Saturday. I switched from an All Star to CBR to avoid cheerleaders (and we love CBR, so I was happy to have a reason to do it). I know there are multiple events, so I'm hoping the group booked at CBR won't arrive until we're gone.

Thanks @dansdad and @firefly_ris thats good to know. As I assumed if it would be anywhere it would be the lobby but as it’s not too coco-nutty a coconut smell I should be okay.

As I am really looking forward to my first stay at CRB and looking forward to exploring the resort.

Although may not explore too near the coconut oiled pool people. I’ve definitely come across people like that at WDW and avoided. I have even let people go in front of me in line to get away lol.

We are UK too. I spent many years at OKW before the big discounts stopped. CBR is a wonderful resort - it is now our number 1 choice by far. We always go for 3 weeks.

Sounds nice we are going to try CBR for two weeks but we will have a one year old go with us. Don’t know if that’s a good or bad idea. Any advice lol

You can definitely mobile order and then take your food to wherever you want to eat. We ate by the Trinidad beach one time, but the Spyglass and Trinidad pool area has plenty of space to enjoy eating there.

I took my daughter at 2 for her first trip and would happily have taken her before if I could have afforded it. She absolutely loved it. Take your time and go at a really relaxed pace. She loved the playground and toddling around Old Port Royal in the heat of the day.

Tips: The fold-up cot is very good = she slept really well in it, but bring a blanket from home for comfort.
It works really well beside the safe in the vanity area - still plenty of room to get to the bathroom.
Remember a brush to wash out drink bottles / cups.

I have three weeks this summer! Cannot wait!

We are going to AKL for two weeks at the end of November but already planning our trip with a baby and she's not even pregnant yet

We need to plan that far in advance as it's that costly lol

But we are thinking CBR next time and I think the gondolas will be great too

Well, I booked a short trip in Aug at CB that I am planning to tack on to a continuing ed trip. If I don't do the conference I can cancel but with the AP discount it was a great deal.

It is so great to get a surprise room upgrade. This happened to us after 911 when they closed French Quarters Resort temporarily. They upgraded us to the Poly! :cloud9:

I just saw on Disney Tourist Blog that some people with trips through AUGUST are getting emails that construction will still be going on then. Has anyone gotten emails about that? We will be there in September and thought everything would be long done by then but now I'm not so sure!

We are taking our son, daughter in law, and granddaughter (who will be 15 months) in December. Staying in a Pirate room for 4 nights then CCV for 2.
