Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

We are on exact same flight as you are, in a couple of weeks. We use a car service v.s. DME. Remember with the cabana rentals, for the early shift of 10-2, they ask that you check in at the pool area at 9:45. I doubt you'll make that. Why not do the cabana another day? There will be plenty of seats by the pool to relax in, while enjoying a late breakfast or early lunch while waiting for your room is ready text. Relax...you're on vacation:).
Which car service did you use. I am also coming in from Chicago and thinking it would be worth it to use a car service vs DME

I’m not Crazyhorse but i have used Tiffany Towncar many times. I like stopping at the grocery store on the way to the hotel

Do the coffee pots take pods or k cup style?
Never mind I found my pictures with it.

When are you staying and which resort?

The Beach Club Villa (DVC) rooms use Mr. Coffee style drip coffee makers

The rooms at the Yacht Club have Keurig machines post refurbishment

The Beach Club rooms... some have the Cuisinart Pod Machines, but some of these have been replaced with Keurig coffee makers recently. We don't know which rooms or how many or whether the plan is to replace them all, eventually.

Is it quicker to take the boat to HS from BC?
YC/BC share one stop for the boat and it is at YC. No advantage here like busses. YC is closer to DHS and BC is closer to Epcot. Not by much, but depending on where your room is located and which exit you take you can save a few minutes from each resort if you walk.

Is it quicker to take the boat to HS from BC?
Quicker than walking? Depends. If the boat to HS is at the dock or approaching the dock at the BC/YC then take the boat. It will stop at Swan/Dolphin and then head to HS. If you opt to walk it will take you around 20 minutes, give or take 5 minutes on either side depending on your pace. Head towards the BW, cut through to the pool [left past the Surrey Bike kiosk, and quick right past the arcade/health club]. You'll pass the pool and join up with the path to HS. Just a little over 10 minutes once you pick up the path. Other's results may vary, but we always walk from BC and generally average 20 minutes.

We've been using Bill Murphy. You can find him on Facebook, he runs a Disney page. Disney Vacation! To Florida And Beyond! You message him through the facebook messenger app. He and his wife Nancy are great people. $30.00 each way round trip airport/disney.

Officially booked the YC for the 2020 Marathon. Will be there Jan. 8-14. First time at YC. I did stay at BC last year.

:welcome: back!

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list.

:cool1:

I just had a look at room rates. Is club level really $200 more per night in a garden view room? That's more of a jump than GF and CR!
Is it worth it if we're having 3 resort days?

:welcome: to the thread!

Sure, it's possible that a club level booking is $200 more per night. Are there discounts available for either the regular room booking or the club level stay?

As others have pointed out, the value or determination of whether it is worth is very subjective and depends on how many in your party, whether you will be using the lounge for breakfast, throughout the day and in the evening for appetizers and/or adult beverages.

Let us know if you book a stay.

:goodvibes

Is there an upside to checking in before you leave vs. waiting until you arrive? I've never done the check-in online. I did specify a room number and last time I did not do online check in we got upgraded when we arrived. Does it matter one way or the other if I do it online or wait?

I do it to skip waiting in line at the front desk upon arrival.

Has there been any new construction at the IG from BC/YC? I love the convenience of walking through that entrance I worry the Skyline will disrupt that flow. Is it still two turnstiles and two security? Also is all the cabana construction done at Yacht Club?
