Well we were able to snag a three bedroom grand villa in The Contemporary Bay Lake tower with a theme park view for the night before and the night of our wedding! Plan is to do a "Wicked Welcome Party" - a Halloween themed welcome party after the wedding rehearsal instead of the typical rehearsal dinner, so all our guests will be included. People will be encouraged to wear Halloween costumes, villain inspired outfits or black outfits, and then hopefully at the end of the night we will watch the fireworks from Not So Scary Halloween Party over the MK since it will be an event night. Serving light, cheap food that won't take anything to prepare. Thinking about getting deli platters and stuff from Costco or maybe Publix. Then having Halloween-themed treats like baggies of candy for people to take home and mickey shaped rice krispy treats and villain-inspired cookies that we can bake a few days ahead. The wedding is the next morning at Wedding Pavilion with brunch reception at GF ballrooms, and then later that night hosting "Happily Ever After Party" back at our grand villa. We're taking the idea of doing a dessert party and making it cheaper by doing it ourselves, and adding cocktails to the mix. Going to hand out cheap light up necklaces from Oriental Trading to everyone and then watch Happily Ever After fireworks over MK, God willing. Will let everyone know how this all works out in the end.
