Old Magic Band for 2 Year Old

We'll have a no-ticket 2 year old on our next trip to WDW. She'd love to have a Magic Band like her big sisters and we have an old one she can use. As long as we whisk her past the touch points without tapping, will we have any problems with the sensors throughout the parks flagging her band as not connected to a ticket? Is there some way to disable the band so it's just jewelry?

Thanks.

Yes you can deactivate the band in MDE under magic bands and cards.
It should be fine for her to wear it.
Although are you staying onsite? If so she'll get her own anyways.

will the 2 year old get her own in the mail with everyone else? (we will be at pop century)

At two our daughter was given a magic band so it must be pretty common for 2 year olds to have them. She rarely wore it though but when she did there were no issues.

On our last trip my 2 year old wore his the entire time. We got a band bit to put on the band of the watch so it would not fall off. everyone on MDE will get a magic band with a resort reservation.

My 5 month old DGD got one. If she is on the on site reservation, she will get a band.

And, since this thread seems to just go on and on...
it is the WDW resort reservation that triggers the Magic Bands being sent/offered.

Even if there are NO tickets purchased, a MB will be offered to every guest registered on the resort reservation.
That's because the MBs are used for room keys and "charging to the room" privileges.

Now, regarding TICKETS...
those come into play for booking advance FP+.

To book FP+ in advance, a guest must have purchased valid tickets (or APs.)

With or without a WDW resort stay booked, a guest with a valid park ticket can book
FP+ up to 30 days in advance.

WITH a WDW resort stay booked, a guest with a valid park ticket can book
FP+ up to 60 days in advance... and, during that same booking, make FP+ ALSO for each and every day of their resort stay (up to 14 days) as long as the guest has enough valid tickets
to cover the days that the FP+ booked.

So-
Resort stay = Magic Band
Tickets = FP+ booked up to 30 days in advance.

Resort stay + Tickets = MB and FP+ booked up to 60(+) days in advance.

was a couple of years ago but our 4 month old baby got a band as did our 2 year old so she should receive one with your bands. 2 year old was able to touch his just like big brothers without issues
