Disney's CARIBBEAN BEACH RESORT Information & Questions

I see! Good thought thanks. Sounds like some extra trekking I can avoid by using the tags then, I had not thought about that. Wish me luck!
Good luck lol! We are flying in on Monday with frontier. I didn’t think our dme tags would show up but yesterday they came in the mail! I’m so excited we don’t have to pick up our bags

If we fly frontier can we use the dome tags? Also when we leave wdw how does Flynn frontier work compared to say united? Can you check your bags at the hotel?

Yes you can use the yellow tags when coming in to MCO. It doesn't matter which airline you are on coming in. For departure, the resort airline check in is a separate service that only certain airlines are available with. Frontier does not participate. You would have to take your bags to the airport and check them there.

When we booked our reservation I booked a preferred room - by the time my mom and sister booked 2 more rooms all that was left was King rooms. I was also hoping to have a connecting room with my mom since my husband will be leaving on Day 4. Any idea on where we would be?

There are Preferred rooms and King rooms in every building in Barbados and Martinique. And quite a few are connecting.

Does it matter that they didn't book a Preferred Room though? I didn't know if there was an option to book a Preferred King. TY!

No, it doesn't matter. There is no Preferred King option. Buildings are not classified as Preferred, only rooms are. So there are King rooms right next to Preferred Rooms. All buildings in Barbados and Martinique have Preferred, King and Water View rooms.

We did the same thing originally booked Pop then when specials came upgraded to moderate(CBR). We are Excited. Something to think about. as far as the Stroller and the first or second floor. We have always rented a car and have a double stroller but the stroller rarely leaves the car trunk so the upper floors werent a big deal for us and we just like the view from second floor better. Just a thought.
You know that’s a really good point! I was thinking about sleeping kids but I have to get them out of the car anyway so they will wake up either way. Thanks for pointing that out!

Sorry for the dumb question but are 'Preferred" rooms just in Barbados and Martinique (or are they in other buildings as well)
I've booked a preferred room for a solo trip in Dec 2019 and wanted to ensure I was close to Port Royale and wasn't 100% sure which rooms were preferred...) I haven't stayed at CBR since 2003 and with the recent changes am not certain I've booked what I hoped for...

What is the cutoff for DME to grab your luggage? I’m flying Sun Country alone with four kids and would rather not deal with luggage. Our flight was pushed back and now we arrive at 9:55 pm, yuck!

That’s cutting it really close. I believe the cutoff time is 10 pm so I’m not sure what they would do in your position

That’s what I thought, too.

PSA - Book directly with carriers. Sun Country would have put me on a different flight at no charge, but I booked with credit card miles so there is nothing they can do.

Can you just leave your luggage at the airport, though? You wouldn't get the luggage delivered until the next morning. I'm not even sure if that's possible because I have never flown in that late
Maybe someone knows for sure.

Not a dumb question at all. Yes. For now, Preferred are only in Barbados and Martinique. Once the Gondola is up and running that might change.

Unless something changes, you definitely did.

Your flight might arrive before or after 10 pm, as they rarely arrive exactly on time

You have two options:
1. Don't put the yellow tags on, and resign yourself to getting your bags yourself
2. Put the yellow tags on, and ask at the DME check in if you need to go back to get them, or if your plane arrived on time. They'll be able to tell you. Might be worth looking up if your flight will arrive in the same terminal as DME (not a big deal to go get your bags, as it'll be right there) or in the other terminal (more of a pain)

Is there still an internal shuttle bus at CBR? I thought I read somewhere that there is not... That seems crazy considering the large size of the resort. We booked a pirate room, which I have learned is the farthest away from everything.

In relation to above... also whats the walking time from there to the main building? I too have a pirate room booked (for the kids enjoyment who will be all about it) for our first visit to CBR.
