Disney's CARIBBEAN BEACH RESORT Information & Questions

Looking at a 7 night stay for a family of 5 (mom,19,15,9,7) in May 2019. Do I spend an extra $100 total to get the water/pool view-5th sleeper or just stick with the standard view-5th sleeper to save $100 and take my chances? Location is a concern, but I don't know if the water/pool view rooms will be any closer to the main pool, dining and center. This is our first stay at CBR. Previously we stayed at POP.

I really, really don’t like having a parking lot view so it would be more than worth it for me.

We always book whatever is the cheapest unless it is the pirate rooms (we won’t book those)

Thanks, now I'm off to cry into my pillow for a bit. But really I can understand that people have different appeals. I've only done Pirate Rooms, I'm beginning planning my next trip and going to try a regular room booking this time.

Everyone has premium appeal spots and Disney is the master at figuring out how to tap into that. Definitely worth it if you want that full CBR building theming bubble. Also not hearing people spam their rental car lock button/horn.

Dh and I prefer to sleep in the same bed lol. The pirate rooms have too small of beds for us

In our opinion it is not.

This is helpful, thank you! I'm going to go cheapest route I think and take my chances. The standard keeps disappearing. If it doesn't pop back up I'll pay the extra $100 for water/pool view.

Our very first trip to WDW was CBR with a water view and it was magical, I mean MAGICAL. It was definitely worth paying more for. We walked right out of our room, had first floor and onto a beach with a hammock, aaaaaah those are the things I remember about WDW. BUT we do like to enjoy our resort also, some don't care. I personally would do less souveniers or ice cream or snacks, or whatever during our time to make up the $100 and get a nicer room with a view especially with 5th sleeper. WDW can get hectic running around all day and love that relaxing time and nice room.

Sorry, lost on a couple things as details have been rapidly changing with CBR (considering for a Fall trip): order of bus stops and are they now split into two "routes"??

Thank you to all the knowledgeable people who are on this thread. Just spent some time reading through the last few pages and there is so much info here!! We are planning our 2nd wdw trip and were planning to go to pop again but just changed to cbr and we are so excited! I think I have some good ideas on where we might want to request. I just have a question about parking. We will be driving to the resort and driving to the parks each day. We will also be lugging the giant double stroller with us! I read there are no elevators so I should request ground floor. Any other things I need to consider? From the map it doesn’t look like any buildings would be too far from parking but please let me know if there are any places it would be difficult to get to/from with our littles. Thanks so much!

Martinique - OPR - Barbados - Trinidad - Jamaica - Aruba
During busy morning period Jamaica and Aruba have there own bus.

Currently here and we're in Jamaica building 44. So there's some construction going on in between building 44 & 45. We got here yesterday and unfortunately not feeling great and 2 out of 4 couldn't board the plane, they're coming in late today. Construction is active during the day so I don't recommend this location if needing a nap mid day.

Thank you so much! I thought I heard something about two routes now, but must have misheard or misread.

On more question for you (I'm 100pgs in and haven't seen this answer yet...sure it's there somewhere). Old style toiletries or new dispensers in CBR bathrooms?

Huh, didn't think of that. I was kind of annoyed I was 'forced' into a water view with the FD bounceback but that helps.

So with that, I am trying to think of what building to request. Martinique seems super convenient but is Riviera prominent from there? I am not really intrigued by Riviera, it doesn't seem particularly fun or themed and I would rather stay immersed in the CBR vibe so I am also considering putting in a request for Barbados.

Thanks for any input.

Martinique water view would be heavy Riviera. It's about as close as you can get to that resort in any building in that island group, I think.

With water view I would say Barbados 32 or Jamaica 42 for what it looks like you're thinking.

Thanks, I think I am going to request Barbados. We stayed Aruba last time so it will be a different perspective.

I feel like such a debbie downer with the whole Riviera Resort hang up but it just seems so visually off putting to the whole Caribbean feel.

So trying to finalize things and am thinking of arrival day . I know check in time is 3 officially but we will be arriving around noon.. I will pack all our swim stuff etc in carry ons just wondering what time most ppl are getting in and what time would be safe for grocery delivery. Think 2pm or should I just say 3?
We have dining res at TRex at 6 pm
Thanks

We've had our room ready anywhere from 7:30AM - 4:30PM. I'd go for a 3:00 delivery.

Again you are the bestest
Can you just plan my whole trip?
Thanks
Hey take the kids and I’ll just sleep the whole week in the hotel lol
