Can we please do one character meal?! A January '19 PTR! *TR Link Posted 2/12*

I am later than late to this thread but so excited for you on your upcoming trip with DBF! All of your plans sound great! DH and I love hoping over to US/IOA too and had a blast doing that on our last big trip. I think it helps to get the guys on board with going! LOL.

I hope that you do a TR for this trip because if you do an I am so there for it!!

Not too late at all! I'm glad to have you along! And I will definitely be doing a TR once I'm back :)

I think you are right about US/IOA getting the guys excited! DBF loves thrill rides. He's trying to convince me to try the Hulk. I am petrified and not sure if I can go through with it :rotfl:

SINGLE DIGIT DANCE!! :cool1::cool1::cool1: I am only 9 days away! This week feels like it's taking forever and work is totally stressing me out. Hopefully next week goes a little faster ;)

The packing struggle has officially begun! I already know I am going to pack more than I need but I am having a hard time! It is not going to be as warm as I was hoping it would be, but it will be WAY warmer than where I am now so I cannot complain!

I am packing lots of layers, which means my suitcase is a lot more stuffed than normal. And I keep throwing things in I might need "just in case" which is not helping. :rotfl:

We had the same problem when we went in January 2018!!! I was so confused about how to pack and couldn't have even imagined how cold it would be! I had lots of "just in case" items packed, and thankfully I did because I ended up wearing everything...in layers!!!

I hope things turn out better for you!

You'd definitely rather worry about having a full suitcase than be freezing in the parks!
Man, mid 60's/ high 50's sound wonderful right now. We just got a little dusting of snow here, and I'm freezing. Sunny Florida- whether you're lugging around jackets or not - will probably feel really nice compared to the winter weather at home!::yes::

Good to know that my overpacking may not be for nothing! Better to be safe than sorry, right?!

Woo Hoo!!! Too bad you couldn't get out of dodge Before the cold front that is coming our way!!!!

Oh my gosh I know, not looking forward to this weekend's weather! But also glad that this isn't happening when we're supposed to be flying!

Better to have more than less.

I agree!

You're absolutely right, and thank you for putting that into perspective for me :) It's cold and snowy here so Florida weather will be very welcomed!!

Eeeeeeh! You're getting SO close!!! You should post an updated itinerary when you get closer, so I remember what all you're doing ::yes::

I can definitely do that!! ;)

Woohoo! So close!!! I am a notorious "just in case" packer, so I feel your pain. :-)

I never understand people who go on vacation with just a carry on bag :rotfl:I'm like "how do you do it?!?"

I had the same problem when I was packing in December! Florida is just so unpredictable, especially this time of year! Layers are definitely the way to go, especially things that will roll up small inside your park bag!

That sounds like great park weather, but it does make packing a nightmare! I can sympathize with that!! lol Packing is such a struggle for me already because I want to pack EVERYTHING just in case, but fluctuating weather can really make it worse!!

Hope the next week flies by for you!!!

OMG HI just joining! We’re going to be in Disney at the samee time!!!! And specifically MK on 2/1!

Here is me catching up:

Been to Coral Reef for dinner for a friends birthday and had a GREAT experience! I’m a big seafood fan though!

Mini golf! Yes girl!! I haven’t been to WDW mini golf in so long but I have such fond memories of it!

Please eat allll the voodoo donuts for me

I’m still shoook we’re have the same MK day! Maybe we’ll cross paths!

Omg swagbucks! I used to do that too! “Tedious” is an understatement :rotfl: every bit helps though!

The NYC exhibit was so fun! I went the first weekend of Dec! So cool tha you got to go ON Mickey’s birthday and meet him!

Boys are so silly! Both my brother in laws pick gray bands too! :sad2:

I’m having the same issue with deciding what to pack too! I remember Jan/Feb of my DCP being brisk, even cold in the morning and evenings, and hot hot hot mid day. I’m still keeping my fingers crossed for a heat wave and perfect pool weather :rotfl2:

Definitely pack what you think you'll need! The weather was so weird for us! A couple days we were downright chilly (even with sweatshirts on) and a few days it was blazing-hot-shorts-and-tanks weather.

Thank goodness for lockers hahaha.

Yes exactly!! It's easy when you have to fit in small items like shorts and tees. When you get into jeans and hoodies it makes everything so bulky! I'm glad you relate with the overpacking because I am terrible with that!!

Yay! Thanks :goodvibes I love virtually "following" along ;)

I love having you along!! :goodvibes

No way!! If we see each other in MK we have to say hello!

Yay I'm glad to hear a good review of Coral Reef. We both love seafood too so I think it will be good!

I REALLY hope we do end up mini-golfing, I'm looking forward to it!

Hahah I am excited for Voodoo Donuts!

I ended up earning $200 on Swagbucks so it was WELL worth the work in my opinion!

Oh man how great that you went to the Mickey exhibit too! It was so fun, I wish I could have gone a second time!

I keep refreshing the weather like crazy! But it keeps changing which makes it hard! When do you leave??

Thank you for the tips, especially since you were just there! Layers will be key it seems!

OMG $200! Dang girl good job! I definitely have gotten a good amount from it, but over very long periods of time :rotfl:I leave late on the 31st! So I'll be there the 1st-3rd!

Hahah I was pretty persistent about wracking up some dollars! :rotfl: OoOo Yay that's so exciting!! I hope you have some fun things planned!
A few days late but... :dancer:

Better to have too much than not enough. I've ended up having to buy extra sweatshirts in the past. :rotfl:

Now I am doing the "count the days on one hand" dance!!

Yes I am definitely taking note from some of your cold weather trips! I'm packing ear muffs, gloves, a scarf, thermals, hoodies, the works!

T-minus 4 days!! Now I just need to get through this work week! Most of my packing is done except for some things I'll need to throw in my suitcase the morning we leave. (And if I decide I need any extra layers :rotfl:)

It looks like the weather will be fine when we leave- so no snow storms to delay us, yay!

Here's a recap of our itinerary:

26th- Arrival Day
We have no "set" plans for the day. However, I would like to do some mini golf and maybe a visit to AKL (or another resort). We will see how we feel!

27th- Islands of Adventure
DBF is really trying to get me to ride The Hulk. I watched a couple of YouTube videos and trying to decide if I am brave enough :scared1: I am absolutely terrified but it IS a relatively short ride so I'm debating since I know it would make him happy. Also would like have lunch or dinner at Toothsomes. I feel like this will be a relatively early night.

28th- Epcot
I'm excited to check out the Festival of the Arts! I'm hoping we will check out some of the booths and try out the Animation Academy. We also have dinner at Coral Reef.

29th- Universal Studios
My favorite of the 2 parks, I'm excited for a lot of the rides here!

30th- Animal Kingdom
Excited to go back to Pandora! I wonder if the new baby giraffe will be on the safari? We have lunch at Yak & Yeti. Not sure if we will see RoL, I'll see how DBF feels.

31st- Hollywood Studios
TOY STORY LAND! I cannot wait! We have lunch at Hollywood & Vine with the Fantasmic package.

1st- Magic Kingdom
I'm really excited I grabbed a FP to meet Mickey & Minnie at TST in their new outfits! We have lunch at BOG and will definitely be seeing Happily Ever After!

2nd- Departure Day
We will head back to Hollywood Studios for the morning/early afternoon. I have an ADR for Sci Fi Dine In, we'll see how we are feeling by the end of the week if we end up keeping it or not.

That is all! I'll definitely check back in before I leave! :goodvibes
