Disney's CARIBBEAN BEACH RESORT Information & Questions

Oh. Their room finder tool is extremely inaccurate when it comes to room types.
Well it's not just Touring Plans, when I phoned Disney to request adjoining Preferred and King Rooms the CM said that it would have to be Barbados 33 as "thats where all the King Rooms are"

(Incidentally, we got our (connecting) rooms in Barbados 33 and loved the location - right next to the quiet pool and across the road from the Barbados bus stop)

I’m sure we’ll like it. We tend to like the more spread out resorts when we have free time to relax and enjoy it. Hopefully the weather cooperates in early February so we can take advantage of the size of the resort. We like to jog so I’m sure we will do that.

Our very first trip to WDW was at CBR and we LOVED it! It got us hooked on Disneyworld. It was just so beautiful and magical with all the colors and flowers and Caribbean feel. Just loved it. I thought it was incredibly beautiful. We also like to enjoy the resorts themselves and the size was not an issue at all but rather enjoyed. Now we have an RV and dog we travel with so we go into Fort Wilderness but miss it there. Have fun!

Couldn't agree more!:)

Even when we are not staying at CBR we always go by for a visit.:)

We are already talking about,in the future, when we are at DHS,we will hop on the Skyliner over to CBR for a bite at Banana Cabana, etc.:)

Yes, there are some in every building except Trinidad which has only Pirate Themed rooms.
ok thanks! I usually just let the chips fall and don't make requests. If I were to be unhappy with a room I'd just go to the desk and inquire about changing. Think I will stick with that this time too. :)

I think we'll do that when we go down to Fort Wilderness this year, where we go now that we have a camper and dog, and just go over to visit. Aaaaaah just thinking about that place, so beautiful. We were in Aruba section, just loved the pink and purple, a first floor water view. A little farther from things but we had no issues with that. Just thinking about it lifts my spirits from our northeast cold weather lol.

Does anyone know what time hot breakfast starts in the marketplace? I see it says breakfast start at 6:30 on the website but it said that last year for POR and only grab and go stuff was available there until later when the hot stuff was served. We like rope dropping and early hours but need a breakfast first.

Thank You for this thread. My husband and I are trying to plan our kids' 1st trip to WDW. Our kids are both boys. Ryan is 11yo and Liam is 8yo. They both have special needs and we hope they like CBR.

So is the marketplace area no longer like a street that you’re walking in at night? We visited two years ago because we drove to every resort and I remember the market looking super fun and very well themed.

How far out should you make island requests and how should you contact Disney? Fax through touring plans? Call the hotel? Call Disney? Or early check in?

Your best bet is to call the Main Reservation line and add your requests to your reservation. This can be done any time from the day you book up until 4-5 days out. When within that time frame makes no difference.

We're thinking of booking Free Dining at CBR in August so I just have a couple of questions, because we've never stayed there before.

First do all the rooms now have the bigger flat screen tv's we would be booking preferred?

Is it true that Banana Cabana does not take any dining plans?

TIA!
