Priceline Express Deals

One more question! Sorry for so many!

We just checked Priceline as well. Found this... curious what it could be...

4* Hotel in the Disney Springs Area
Amenities:
Free Internet
Airport Shuttle
Swimming Pool
Fitness Center
Restaurant
The only thing throwing me off is the free parking, otherwise it does seem like Coronado as others have said.

Thanks everyone! Just curious... do the disney resorts make it on Priceline anymore or no?

Others have posted that Hotwire hasn't updated their listings to account for the fact that Disney now charges for parking.

Good to know - I guess I need to go back and catch up. I believe another thing Hotmail does sometimes still (?) is include the dining plan so room prices seem inflated but if you want dining anyway it is probaby a very good deal.

Interesting - I’ve never heard of this. I wonder how you would verify if it includes it?

I just got Coronado on Hotwire for $144 a night during spring break. April 13-15. I searched for airport shuttle in Bonnet Creek area, it came up as 3.5 stars and the amenities listed were shuttle, internet, free parking, business center, fitness center, pool, resort, restaurant. Almost half off price so I'm happy :)

I have another Hotwire deal for you experts for MLK weekend 1/18-1/21.
Bonnet Creek
4 Stars
$237/night (57% discount)
Free internet
Airport shuttle
Children’s activities
Golf nearby
Pool(s)
Restaurant(s)
Smoke free rooms

Any idea here?

Sounds like the AKLodge I’ve been seeing people get. When you loook at the map of that hotel’s proximity to nearby attractions does it show it as being 0.2 miles from Animal Kingdom Park?

If you get a "tax" that seems beyond excessive that is a good clue. I think tax on most hotels is around 15% in Orlando. If all the other amenities, etc.. make it look like a Disney resort but the added on tax doesn't line up then maybe that's the clincher. I don't know how you could verify it - all the helper sites and add ons just seem to look at amenities and maybe reviews, etc... but not tax. I had this happen to me once (the amount of tax was around the same as the room rate), but I didn't pull the trigger since, even if was a Disney resort, I am on an extremely restricted diet and wouldn't be able to take advantage of the Disney dining plan. And I don't know for sure if the dining plan included in the "tax" would have been for everyone in the party but I think so. I had searched for a party of 2. I think the room rate was around 100 and the "tax" about that much. Yarbobash (a member here) was the one who alerted me to this and they wrote this back in October
"Last year around this time there were a few Disney resorts on Cheaptickets and Expedia that were offering meals included and charging for the dining plan in the taxes and fees. You did not need park tickets to get this. After tinkering with this reservation I think it might be the same offer."

edit to add that: I had posted about my Hotwire experience in another thread under the Orlando hotels priceline thread, not this one.

Did your friend have a problem adding his 2 children when he called Disney? I just booked a HW rate for POFQ under 2 adults only, with the assumption I could add my toddler to the reservation since Disney doesn't charge for children under 18...

Not at all, he called wholesale and they added 2 children. I have had a CM tell me she wasn't able to alter the reservation before, I told her that i was able to do it a couple of weeks ago on another reservation. she didn't argue and added additional guests.

Thanks Texans_loyal! I guess a call to Disney is in my future. Hopefully I don't receive any pushback, but I can't imagine it's a big deal if they don't alter it. We have APs, so our previously booked FPs aren't tied into the room reservation. Are they really going to not allow me to bring my 5 year old? Disney doesn't charge additional for kids anyway...

Disney Wholesale just added a child to our reservation, and not only was it one of the shortest wait times I've had, the CM was awesome. She added the kid and my room requests. Then, she identified some oddities with my reservation, and gave me some great tips for managing them, before I even brought them up.

Thanks to this thread, we got the POFQ deal on Hotwire, which was $60/night cheaper than the AP rate we had at CBR for January!

Does anyone have experience with asking Hotwire for a refund on parking, since they list "Free Parking" as an amenity? Curious if they give a Hotwire credit or money back to your credit card.

is there a specific number for Disney Wholesale? Or is that just another term for the regular Disney phone contacts?

Can anyone help me decode this deal I found on hotwire for 7/20-7/27?

Bonnet Creek
4 stars
$187/night (56% off)
Airport shuttle
Free internet
Business center
Fitness center
Pool
Golf nearby
Restaurant
Smoke free room

The map says it's 0.1 miles from Boardwalk, could it be the Boardwalk Villas?

I bet it is a hotel on the Boardwalk - not sure if it's Villas or not. Might be Yacht Club because of the Business Center?

Got this 12% off code for Priceline..anyone here still using that site:laughing:

Thanks! I love AKL but have to check on the construction status of the pool before booking...

A little tip for anyone searching for Disney’s wholesale dept. phone number:

If you use the search function to look for the word “wholesale” in this thread you’ll eventually find the number. Although, by now that word has been used in many posts in this thread that do not also include the phone number. (I just used it twice!)

A better way to search this thread would be to enter the area code that we have all come to either know and love, or despise depending on the reason for the call. If you enter four zero seven (the numerals, not the words) you’ll be on the fast track to finding the number.
