When to visit Aulani

I am planning to book a trip to Aulani in 2020. I was considering the latter part of April. Is this a good time to go? Are the temperatures warm enough both air and water temps? I know next to nothing about Hawaii. lol

If April not great, when would be better?

The weather would be fine in April, but I would be concerned about crowds with school breaks due to Spring Break and Easter.

We visited in mid-late September, and found it to be a perfect time. Flight costs were relatively low, schools were newly in session so lower crowds, weather was not as hot as summer but still warm, and we experienced no rain at all. We would choose to go again in September, if we had the choice.

Thank you. The reason I was looking at April is my birthday is the 21st. Easter is the 12th that year. hmmm....decisions

I'm looking to go in Feb 2020. I saw they had a winter discount for this year coming for 30% off 4+ night stay, so I am hoping that there will be a similar discount for 2020.

Anytime is great to visit Aulani. Weather during the day in hawaii is from the upper 70's to upper 80's lower 90's most of the year. It is wetter in the months of Oct-Jan but most days you will get a passing shower. It is drier during the summer months but again there is a chance of passing shower. Aulani is situated in the west side of Oahu which is drier than the other parts of Oahu.

Not sure if you are using dvc points or cash. But the points are much higher most of April and early may. I’m guessing prices may be too. We always go second week of may and stay for 10 nights. We have been there 5 years in a row and still love it. Weather is fine although it usually clouds up a little during afternoon and last year rained a few hours.

Weather is basically great year round. I love travelling there when it's really cold in the mainland. Nov - Mar. But it's always too expensive when holidays. So if you can mid-Jan or March (when you can avoid Spring Break).

Be mindful that there will be a huge influx of people at Aulani between 02 May through around 16 May 2020 for the two DCL Hawaii cruises. Outside of that, whenever kids are in school is a good time to go. Avoid Spring Break, Easter, summer, Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Japan's Golden Week (sometime in October). Those weeks will be extra busy, but Aulani often runs at 90%+ capacity anyway, so I'm not sure if you will really notice a difference.
