October Pre & Trip reports

On our way! We’re staying at a Marriott tonight and setting up camp in the morning. Got our site info we’re in the 1500s

Excited for our first time camping at Disney!

I really like 1500 loop and hope you do too, FLkid. Hope you enjoy your visit.

First I have to say I finally got to ride Slinky Dog! Went with a friend and she talked me into breaking my "never wait more than 30 minutes for a ride" rule. Wait time said 95 minutes, we waited 62 and the line continuously moved, and it was night time, so it was not a bad wait. Now back to the regularly schedule pre trip report. I finished stuffing my pumpkins, some with Disney trading pins, all with candy. Will be passing these out to fellow DIS campers and Disney Campers facebook group members. When you get your site #, let me know here and I will drop a couple off at your site. Getting through work this week is going to be rough :crazy2:.

Mr Bones never should have offered to lend him a hand with packing his "HAVE TO HAVE STUFF''!

“Tomorrow night” that sounds just crazy to think it’s that close!! We’re busy baking cookies and making potato salad today- getting last minute supplies, loading the camper, and getting school done!
It’s going to be really late tomorrow night once we factor in stopping for fuel every 250-300 miles- but we are ok with it. I’m just worried for you having to be out that late and then you have to drive home after... trying to think if there’s any way to make it easier for you but I know we can’t leave much sooner because we have to get our house sitters settled in before we go. Otherwise our basset hounds can be very naughty at home lol...

I wonder f there’s anyway Walmart would help out by keeping it at their service desk??

Your pups just need time to settle down when others come to the house. I am jealous, ours behave badly no matter what the circumstances. Let Aunt Karlee come to visit and they fight over who is going to be her primary Lap Dog

Homeschooler too? I always wondered if anyone from here took advantage of the Homeschool group that goes in May/November. We thought of it, but hubs said it felt too structured haha.
Enjoy the drive!

Have a great trip down, Serenitygr.

Post when you can with updates and pics!

1 1/4 days Jimmy? That is a quick trip. Safe travels back to SAN and happy flight to wherever.

This is new to me and I’m not sure if it just for decoration or what. The “water” coming out of the spigot is fake
It is near the bike barn where I signed up for the trick or treating...have about 900 pieces of candy to give away. I’ll also have some glow sticks for those who can’t do candy.

Ok so here it goes. I contacted Walmart and they said no. :crazy2:, so I called truck driver buddy and he hooked me up.:worship:
The Traveling Fire Pit will be at the Blue Beacon truck wash which is right behind the Petro station when you get off at the Walmart exit.
It is open 24 hours so you can roll right in, pick up and roll right out to Walmart
I'll be dropping it off about 8:30/9ish. Ask for the Manager, his name is Cole, he'll have it sitting there for you :thumbsup2
I was gonna PM you to get you my cell # if you had questions/issues, put I don't know how to do it :confused3

Winding down on my final night before the big road trip home tomorrow. I have to say this week has been great. The weather was perfect. Having 4 week days off really helps getting the camper ready. Getting off a few hours early today helped get all the shopping done. Final load out begins early tomorrow. We hope to leave Mobile AL around 2 pm and ride steady until Ocala FL. We'll sleep in the rest area there and then be at the Fort by 9 am. Looking forward to meeting all the new people.

This sounds fantastic! Joe ( my other half) is also a truck driver and knows exactly where the Blue Beacon is! So it should be easy peasy! Approximately 24 hours from now we will be officially picking her up and bringing her back to the Fort! Thank you so much for everything you’ve done to make this happen :thanks:

Now we need to bump the firepit thread again so we can start lining up homes in the coming months! I remember there were a lot of families interested.
Yeah the TRAVELING FIREPIT rides again

Plus she’ll get to meet Jack!!! As you can see- he’s patiently waiting!

Jack needs a sandwich...

I came home yesterday and DW was washing the 4Runner. Gonna be sad, heading to Disney and not pulling the camper is gonna feel really weird. Haven't done that since 2009.

To break my sadness, I let her finish washing it and vacuum it out. When she got done I told her it looked nice, but I had changed my mind and decided to take my truck instead (not true, just a joke)

She didn't think it was funny.
