DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Yes, I'd say you did well. I don't eat the bodies but have tried to remove the meat for a bisque. It's a lot of work. I think lobster was once considered the poor man's food and was sold cheaply. Too bad the prices can't go back thay way.

Very true. Lobster used to be considered the rats of the ocean and only the poor kids brought it to school in their lunches.

Top O the Mornin Dads! Rain and more rain, flash flood watches til tonight around here. Lazy weekend for the most part and starting up the annual budget / 3 year planning cycle here at work so will be a long 3-4 weeks around here. Have a good week once we get past today.
Morning All.

Welcome to a cool but sunny Monday morning. I wish it was still Sunday so I could sleep more.

I had a full soccer day yesterday. I spent a few hours photographing the gold and bronze games at Eastern Canadian Masters championship. Overall it was pretty enjoyable to watch. Got a nap in during the afternoon before heading back out to play our last regular season game and coming home with a 2-1 win.

DS starts his co-op placement with a vet this afternoon so I guess these next few months will tell us if he changes up his plan.

Have a good one all.
Best of luck to Declan!

Anyone notice the Bills won? A pleasant surprise but I have no doubt they will return to their mediocrity soon and will win just often enough to keep a glimmer of hope alive.

Oh I noticed! Lifelong Bills fan here, unfortunately. I'm just happy to have a young QB with promise, so hopefully he makes it through the season alive.

I agree, keep Allen injury free and give him some receivers that can catch. Grew up in WNY following the Bills and after many decades too old to quit on them now.

'Afternoon all...
Saw a rumor that WDW will be switching to date-based ticket pricing.
That could get interesting.

Yes, and it was lemon...even better!
Well...
I suppose mediocrity could be an acceptable standard.

Did not know that was a direction he was considering.
Anything in particular that has him considering such a path?

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend. I know Mark did. He had pie

I do agree with the "any pie is better than no pie" crowd.

Yes, and it was lemon...even better!

...but not as good as peach.

That's got to be exciting. Hope he enjoys it!

Anyone notice the Bills won?

I bet that destroyed a lot of survivor pools.

Not a rumor anymore! It's been announced. They haven't announced the prices, though.

Saw that announced today. Not sure if that will be enough to drive enough folks to less busy times and help level the load as it is just to hard to pull kids out of school for a week vacation. Interested in seeing what the savings might be but figure DVC annual pass is still gonna be the best cost for us as long as we can keep making a couple of trips per year.

Rain and more rain. Time to shift gears again and put the field work to bed and start on meetings, grants and reports until February.
.

3 consecutive days of rain here is too many.

Very true. Lobster used to be considered the rats of the ocean and only the poor kids brought it to school in their lunches.

They brought them in their He-Man, Masters of the Universe lunch boxes.

?

Saw that as well. Hopefully, we will actually see a cost savings. Probably not.

Well, point charts were designed to get people in at off times. It seems to work since there aren't many slow times anymore.

I'm starting to think our Dec trip is shaping up to be really Awesome. I will not do MVMCP since all the parks are decked out and doing things, I find it a waste of money, although it does not mean I won't funnel it to other things around the parks:scratchin.

My booked plan foundation I had 2 days ago went like this, POFQ 2 nights, Lunch at Maria & Enzo's, OK not a bad start:confused3

Right now this is the NEW booked plan foundation, Saratoga Springs 2 nights Deluxe Villa & The New Up close With Rhino's at AK:faint::worship: IMO that is serious upgrade in a plan foundation:thumbsup2

Morning gents. I don't have anything exciting to report. I didn't have pie on the weekend or anything.
Fall temperatures have certainly set in around here lately. Sunshine but 6C/43F this morning. Frost advisory overnight. But no snow yet, so i guess that's a win. Supposed to go back up to normal temps tomorrow (15C/59F).

We've known for awhile now. I'm not really sure what has taken him down that path but hopefully it's one enjoy.
Getting some exposure to it now is great to help him decide. The important thing is that he enjoys it.

I still haven't figured out what I want to do. Driving the train to Rafiki's Planet Watch sounded fun, but I guess that's out now...

Hopefully, we will actually see a cost savings. Probably not.
Probably not. I'm sure off-peak will stay the same and peak times will increase in price.
I'm not sure how I feel about the ticket change. But I guess it was inevitable.

Off to see Elton John in concert tonight, looking forward to that. :)
Sounds good, enjoy!

Morning, gents.

Hope y'all have a good one out there.

I've seen him a lot. He puts on a Great Show. One of the first times I saw him we went with my BIL and his ex. The Ex and her girlfriend got back stage, when she got back to us, she told us she touched Elton's balls. He was wearing this costume...

Well, Thunder Mountain doesn't have any drivers. Maybe they're hiring.

Probably not. I'm sure off-peak will stay the same and peak times will increase in price.

I feel pretty comfortable predicting that it will not get any less expensive to go to Disney World.

Well, that's...interesting. I hear this was the other finalist for the Flyers' new mascot.

We try to catch the late August pre-Labor day time period because it is right before the girls go back to school. Right now it is off peak for resort rooms so I would assume it will be the same for park tickets, but with my luck they will extent that summer peak out to labor day.

Sounds good, enjoy!

Thanks!

Really! Lucky. This'll be my first time.... and I've been listening to him since forever.

:lmao:

Thanks!

I'm not sure I want that job.
"This is the best job ever!!!!"

"Yup... Great job..."

"Um.... I kinda need to get off now..."

"Feel like I'm gonna puke..."

"For the love of God! Stop the train!!!"

You're going wayyyyy out on a limb there, buddy.

Well, that's...interesting. I hear this was the other finalist for the Flyers' new mascot.

It's less repugnant.
