So are these people who are getting an alcoholic drinks with their kid's credit not getting their kid a drink?
I’m guessing they may be getting free water for the kids and an alcoholic beverage to drink for themselves

I think Shannie102 was referring to people getting 1 alcholic drink with their meal and then 1 alcoholic drink with their child (Disney adult over age 10 but under 21) adult QS meal. If they weren’t verifying ID’s for the alcoholic drink being given for the under 21 meal, then This could potentially allow people under the age of 21 consuming alcohol.

It's independent of the dining plan, though. One adult has always been able to get two drinks, so there could be underage drinking there anyway.
Dining plan-wise, QS credits don't differentiate, so they have no way of knowing if it's for a kid, 10-20 year old, or adult.

Well the way the Adult QS works is if get a meal your allowed a drink or a dessert. Now if it's a kids meal you get those fruits or yogurt and milk or Juice boxes. If you have the beverage mugs you can just use those for drinks. So instead of getting their kids dessert they are using it for an extra beer etc.

That would just be at resorts because you can't use the mugs at the parks.

QS plan no longer includes dessert for anyone, so they have to be getting water for their kids to drink if they are getting the alcoholic drink. QS meals are only entrée and drink. If you buy a bona fide kid's meal, which does have a drink and dessert if you choose the cookie instead of fruit, I highly doubt they are letting anyone get an alcoholic drink with a kid's meal.

Yes this is If you are at the resort they allow you to either get a drink OR substitute a Dessert for your drink. What people are doing is order an adult meal, instead of ordering a kids meal cheeseburger, nuggets or pizza, they order the same meal as an adult meal and instead of getting a soda or dessert they get a beer etc. The kids then drink from the mugs for that meal.

Again same difference for the QS at the parks except you can't sub the dessert parents are probably either using snacks for drinks or OP for drinks. I've seen 2 parents split the meal orders to do this if they have 2 kids. Or if it's a mobile order and you use 3 adult QS credit I haven't seen anyone being told they can't pick up their stuff.

I was hoping someone else would start this so I didn't have to. But alas, I love booze too much to wait. So here we go.

This is a list of all the quick service locations that offer alcohol with your QS Dining Plan Meals.

Magic Kingdom:

-Have to sneak in your own and add to Dole Whip x All Snack Credits

Bonus 1:

-If you're wanting some decent cocktails- any resort pool that offers food and drinks is included.

Bonus 2:

-Disney Springs has some gems. Polite Pig is a personal favorite. You can get some $23 ribs and team it up with one of their ~10 $11 cocktails (moscow mule, margarita, old fashioned, gin & tonic, etc)

If I'm missing any, please post and I'll edit the OP. Not too worried about pricing, as they change to frequently.

Hands down best value of any QS is at Geyser Point at Wilderness Lodge. Polite Pig at Disney Springs used to be my top suggestion, but Geyser is significantly better. Cocktails are high-end top-shelf (not frozen typical Disney sugar junk), and you have a server and can order steak, bison burgers, salmon, etc. TS level quality at QS price.

No brainer best value in the entirety of WDW.
So I keep getting mixed messages about this place.. some places say you can only order at the counter in order to get your quick service credit and that you can't sit in the lounge. How exactly does it (QS and mixed drink ordering ) here? I was thinking of coming here, possibly the last day of my trip for lunch. Thank you for any info you might impart.

What are the dates of when you’re getting that info? If it’s earlier than the 2nd week of August, then what I said is more current and the other info is outdated. Unless something changed in the last 3 weeks, that’s simply not the case.

You go to a host, they seat you and give you menus. A waiter comes and gets your drink order and answers any questions you have about the menu. Waiter comes back and takes order. You order. Waiter brings food. You eat. waiter comes by with bill. You pay and tip.

It’s literally a TS in every way. But you use a
QS credit (and tip)

I’m guessing they may be getting free water for the kids and an alcoholic beverage to drink for themselves

We were there late Aug., and was sort of surprised at the volume of guests toting all of their resort mugs and blatantly filling them up at Park QS locations such as Backlot Exp., Electric Umb. Sometimes like 6 mugs, in front of CMs. There's probably only about 1-2 refill location per park, but adults could get their kids pops while they get the extra alcohol for themselves. Also saw water cups being used for pop/tea. Not that I'd be ok with doing this myself - I was sort of upset to see it. The guests at our resort even used water bottles/mugs to fill with tea/cocoa/coffee.

We did a lot of margaritas, vodka lemonade (ABC, Rizzo's, Backlot, Flame Tree), and my suggestion is to order your mixed drinks without ice. Seems sort of silly, but CMs completely fill the smallish plastic cup to the very top with ice, and the amount of tequila is only about a 1/8 inc. top layer as is. We request 2-4 ice water cups so that we can add a few cubes as needed for the margaritas (but cold enough w/out). If you mobile order, there is no comment spot to request no ice; which we resorted to sometimes to save time.

To be fair, that could be an honest (and easy) mistake to be made. The water cups, obviously not. But regarding resort mugs.
In fact, I'd bet there are a ton of first-time guests who bring the resort mugs to the parks thinking its included everywhere with refill stations, and are surprised to see there aren't.

PizzeRizzo's had a golden margarita that isn't on p.1 that we ordered. Katsura didn't have the frozen straw. banana mixed drink avail.... went there just for that and had to get some sort of tea at both Lotus Blossom and Katsura.

Agree, good point... this was the 2nd thought that came to me regarding the refill mugs... especially when seeing people with like 6 mugs at their table, overtly - not really afraid of being seen with them. And with that $17 or whatever they're up to now, ppl might think they're good everywhere.

Drinks we received free with our QS DDP last week:
Watermelon Margarita at ABC Commissary
Dreamwalker Sangria at Satuli Canteen
Red Wine Sangria at Tangerine Cafe
Frozen Margarita at La Cantina de San Angel
Quervo Margaritas (bottled) from Pop Century & AoA food courts
(We WERE able to get the bottled margaritas with our breakfast so we could take back to the room).
Canned Gin & Tonic and Bloody Mary from Pop Century food court

I also wanted to add that we paid OOP for a couple of TS meals so we had some QS credits and lots of snack credits left over on our last day. Since it was our Food & Wine day and we were determined to use each and every meal and snack credit, we solicited willing participants (who were not on the DDP) at La Cantina de San Angel for whom we purchased meals and kept the frozen margaritas for ourselves. People are always skeptical at first but when you explain the situation, they are happy and grateful.

We did this in September last year, too. We had free DDP and my son was with us for half the trip so we had something like 10 snack credits and 11 meal credits when we hit F&W on our last night. We bought food for people all the way around the World Showcase. One girl cried and another lady hugged us. BUT. Last year there wasn't a frozen margarita hanging in the balance. Hahaha. That's why we used the meal credits to get the drinks this year instead of breaking them down into 3 snack credits. Anyway...buy someone else's food if you have the extra credits. The smiles are totally worth it.
