You must have found the only one because we stopped every one we saw and they were all out of drinks, all drinks. I wouldn't have even cared if they were all out of water because I expected that
Huh that’s pretty weird. Maybe we just got lucky. We just happened to stop because I wanted an Olaf bar and Dh wanted a chocolate banana.

For those of you who mentioned that the park seemed more crowded last night, did you notice if there were a lot of people without lanyards? Is there a greater number of non-event guests around the park?
There were quite a few people walking around without lanyards and I even saw some as late as 12. Some people have said though that they had their lanyard under a jacket or in a bag so that could have been the case. I saw a couple different families get turned away at rides and snacks and they thought it was emh.

To be honest though, there were just lots of people with lanyards. The mine train line went all the way out to the fp entrance. I asked the guy if it was really a 20 minute wait and he said “yes ma’am”. I saw people that looked a little upset by that so they turned around and didn’t get on. I did see one guy vlogging.

Another thing I forgot to mention, the “secret” backway to get on space is no longer secret. We did it once without seeing many others and then after riding 5 or 6 times the cms were actually pointing that way and telling people to go that way if they wanted to reride.

The Space shortcut was not a secret at either of the DAH we went to -- a CM is the one who told us to go the first time we used it.

Glad you had fun (but sorry to hear it felt more crowded)!

Running out of drinks or snacks is unacceptable. I can assure you they do not run out when guest are paying for the products directly.

Unless I have overlooked a "While supplies last" caveat for the After Hours events, that is something that should be addressed and rectified.

Completely agree. I think I'd be headed to GS over that. Yikes!

Please explain the Space shortcut?
When you get off the ride there are two different ways you can go and it’s a little harder to explain right now because they changed the exit while TRON construction is going on. When you look at the wall you will either see a green or orange horizontal line. If you follow that up the ramp it will take you back up to the ride. I was going to take a picture but Dh lost his phone lol

Thank you! I think I can picture it.

I was also at the DAH on 7/21. I have previously done DAH in Feb ‘17 and Feb ‘18. This was by far more crowded then the other two. Was most disappointed that 7dmt was a consistent 15-20 min wait. I know it’s still way better than normal but when you pay the price for only three hours that wait time is expensive.
Also ran into snack cart issues. About an hour in I was told by one cart they were out of water already. By the end of night most carts were out of a lot. One cart only had Diet Coke left and I could not find any with a frozen banana left (checked with 4 carts then gave up).

I’m glad I’m not the only one that thought it felt way more crowded. I was beginning to wonder if my expectations were too high even though I had already been to the event in March.

Hmmm, I was at a sold out party last year and there were plenty of drinks at carts the entire night and it didn't seem that crowded at all.

I feel like I haven't seen very many people with character meet & greets in their reviews. Am I silly for planning on prioritizing this? I'd like to do Princess Fairytale Hall and Ariel, at a minimum. My family is only me, DH, and DS9. It's a tough sell for me to get them to stand in line to meet a princess, so I thought this would be a good opportunity if it wouldn't waste too much time in line. I assume the waits for these are minimal during DAH, but I haven't seen anyone mention actually doing these during the event. Can anyone give me their experiences here?

We haven't personally done it but I remember reading some earlier reviews from 2016 and some from this winter and the reviews were super positive! All mentioned that the characters were more relaxed and interacted significantly more since they had more time with everyone :)

I’m not sure what was different this time around.

I wonder if they have increased the Party size. I also saw a few groups where not everyone had a lanyard but all were enjoying drinks and ice cream. I even heard them discuss how they were sharing the lanyards passing them back and forth to do rides. Not sure how they got away with this as I was stopped a few times just going between lands and checked to make sure I had a lanyard.

I totally agree that last night felt way more crowded than anyone else's previous reports. Which is probably a result of the vloggers getting free tickets last week. But we still got everything done that we wanted to and most things were walk ons! My only other "complaint" and I say that lightly is that all carts ran out of drinks FAST. And we're never restocked. We did get two drinks earlier in the night but the only option after that was to go get tap water from an open QS. And it was a hot night so a refreshing water would have been so nice. But I would still highly recommend the night to anyone!

Our night totals -
five ice creams
Four drinks
Two waters
Two pops
People mover
Buzz lightyear
Space Mtn x2
Mine Train
Winnie the Pooh
Dumbo
Haunted Mansion
BTMR
Splash Mtn
Pirates of the Caribbean
Tangled Photopass
Castle PP
Stocks PP in Liberty Square

Thanks for the review Cloe! We will be there 8/11, I will make getting drinks a priority at the beginning, that stinks it was more crowded. The one Tim and Jen went to for free, Timtracker on YouTube was dead!! Very few people.
We are excited to do this event again, we did it in February of 2017.

That is sad that people take advantage of it and wonder how long it will be until they find away to keep this from happening. I hate when I see people get away with that kind of stuff.

I figure these are the same people who stay for the Halloween and Christmas parties without a ticket as well...

No one was around to check for lanyards on our dates, unless you were actually getting snacks or getting in line for a ride (and to be honest, some CMs weren't even paying attention when we got on rides as it got later in the night).

I totally plan on doing this on Saturday, so will come back and post. I secretly want to try to see Cinderella around midnight and talk to her about it (I'm sure it won't work that way, but, I am sure to talk about it whatever time we see her)
