Is Beaches and Cream really that hard to get?

Our 180 days opens in a couple of weeks, so we are just trying to get our list together and I was "practicing" looking for reservations. Beaches and Cream is the one place I really want to eat, and it seems like there is no availability in October or November. I didn't check every single day, but all the days I checked were no-gos, even the day that just opened up today.

We have a party of 5, I thought maybe that was why? But I changed to 4 and it still didn't find anything. Really didn't expect this to be my hard-to-get ADR. Others we are considering are Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey, Garden Grill, Tusker House (will probably only do 1-2 from that list), and maybe Mama Melrose? Maybe BOG. Really wondering if I will have luck with any of these now though.

It is small, it is popular, and did I mention it is really small? Very difficult ADR to secure. If this means a great deal, I suggest that you make it a priority when your window opens.

Yes. Use Touring Plans reservation finder to help if you can't get a ressie right away.

If you don’t get an ADR keep trying right up till you’re on your trip. We lucked out and got a same day ADR when we were on our Spring Break trip. I looked to see what was available for lunch and Beaches and Cream popped up!

I got a 1pm reservation at 180 days. Mainly to try the ice cream and get lunch.

I wanted to rebook the times but there’s nothing for the week now.

Got like 90 days till arrival.

Thank you everyone! I had no idea. Glad I looked into this first because I would have considered that to be my easy ADR. We are hoping for dinner there after a short MK day (party night that we aren't going to). Looks like that may be tough but I'll work with what we can get.

A second vote for Touring Plans reservation finder if you can't get what you want at Beaches and Cream. We did a pretty broad search request (a couple of days, using lunch as the general time but not using a specific time) and had a reservation that worked for us within a week or two. It's a great tool!

In my experience, it's been one of, if not the hardest ADR to get. I've always had luck on my 180 days, but any time I've wanted to move plans around I have never succeeded in finding another day at less than 180 days and that is with using reservation finders as well and we're only a party of 2. That place is so tiny, like maybe 12 tables at the most + the counter.

I will definitely check out the reservation finder, thank you!

Question - our party is me, DH, DS10, DS(almost)2, DS(almost)2. Do I still book for 5 people even though the twins are free? I mean I know they aren't "free" at somewhere like Beaches and Cream where you just order from the menu, but what about at buffet type places? I assume I am booking for the number of seats needed, not just the number of paying customers.

You need to book for the number of people, no matter what type of restaurant it is.

It's always the first ADR we make because it's so hard to get.

Also the most reasonable cost & kid menu friendly TS restaurant in the Epcot area.

Found one late on Tuesday afternoon for Wednesday (the next day) at 1:50PM. So I booked it.

I had NO Idea it would be so hard to book. I had a lunch adr in November and went to move some things around. Ever since I cancelled it, I've never found another one. I have 3 different alerts set up so hopefully by November something pops back up. :magnify:

All reservations need to include everyone who will be in the restaurant regardless of age and whether they are free or paying because of safety and fire regulations.

If you cannot find a reservation for 5, try for 6 because the system has a glitch that sometimes makes it harder to find an odd number reservation. If you find one for 6, you will not be charged for the "missing" person as long as at least one person shows up for the reservation.

B&C is the smallest TS restaurant in DW. There are only 3 booths, 6 or 7 tables and a counter so reservations are very hard to get. Set up an alert with the preveiously mentioned Touring Plans Reservation finder. You can also subscribe to the Cancellation thread for your month on this board, but be sure to read the rules in the first post.

Beaches and Cream is probably one of the smallest, if not the absolute tiniest restaurant on property. I mean it truly is the size of a teeny tiny soda shop. I imagine that's why ADRs are so difficult to get!
