reserving at 11 month mark

Hi All,

We are brand new to the DVC and I have a quick question. Looking at the Availability Tool on line, I have a question. I know we can book 11 months to the day but it seems like we can only book 1 week? (At least online). We are looking to book 9 nights for our trip next year - will I be able to do that at the 11 month mark of day 1 or am I limited to only 7 days?

You can only book 7 nights at 11 months. You can add the next two two days later.

Adding to _auroraborealis_ 's post:

Book the last two nights by calling MS two days later. You won't be able to book the last two nights ONLINE until the 11 month window opens for them. BUT MS can add the nights for you once you are within 7 days of the nights you want to add.

7 nights exactly at 11 months. Call Member Services two days later to have the last two nights added to your reservation. You will not be able to that online. If you want to do it online, you have to wait until the 11-month window opens for the first night. That would result in 2 reservations which would need to be merged by Member Services anyway. And you could risk not getting those last 2 nights if you are booking a popular resort at a busy time.

You can call Member Services and add the extra days anytime from when they come within 11 months until the 6th day. This is because you will be in that room, and no one else can start a stay in that room until you are out. So as long as you extend before the last day (minus 11 months) you are guaranteed to get it - because Math. So I would wait until both the additional days you need are within 7 months. Then you can handle it with just one call.
But you do have to call.

If you are NOT going at a very busy time, or looking for a high demand room type...studio, GV, you could wait 2 days and book all 9 nights on line.
