April 2018 Disney Roadtrip Exercise Challenge

Jumping back in after a week away. So glad I didn't miss Houston on our virtual trip! (I have a cousin there, so I actually do intend to visit someday. ) For now, I definitely agree with the space center, and would love to go to the aquarium too!

As for my real trip - I just got back from a week in DC, and had a wonderful time!! I had figured I'd be walking a lot and upped my normal goal, but I definitely should have gone higher.

Estimating walking at approximately 1/3 of touring time (like I do for WDW) I have 680 new minutes! :cool1:

800/600

Adding 105 minutes from Friday and Yesterday.
Congratulations to piglet1979, sophy1996, Twilight Sparkle, and the Team for reaching "Pretty Close" Pink!
And a big congratulations and a welcome back to PollyannaMom for reaching "Got here!" Green.

As a team, we have traveled over 2130 miles and now we are in FLORIDA! We made a lot of progress this weekend. Here are some sights we saw along the way:

We passed through Baton Rouge and then came to Mississippi.

Now we're driving along the Gulf of Mexico.
We came to Alabama next:

We drove through Mobile and then, not long after, we saw this sign:

Florida's sign on I-10 is pretty fancy, huh?
We've now driven through Pensacola and have come to a stop in Crestview.
Kind of wished we had had better senses and stopped in Pensacola, but there are still a few things to do in Crestview. Here's a list.

Welcome to Florida everyone! We are in the home stretch with less that 500 miles to go!

The Emerald Coast Zoo is a no-brainer for me. - Feed a lemur, pet a sloth...I'm there!!

Trying to keep up my momentum from vacation. I have 40 new minutes (walking and mini-trampoline) for 840/600.

I will be back hopefully tomorrow morning with my times. I usually only check the dis while I am at work but I came in today and had 125 emails to process before my 1pm meeting. It was a crazy day.

Ok I finally have time to record my times. Work and home have just been so crazy.

Friday - 14 Minutes
Saturday - 33 (I am guessing this should be more but my fitbit died at some point during the day)
Sunday -- 0 (darn headache)
Monday - 45
Tuesday - 14

That is a total of 106 minutes

804/900

Hello team! Let's keep moving!
Patting myself on the back for reaching "Pretty close" Pink.
The team has also reached "Really close" Red, thanks to hardworking PollyannaMom going above and beyond!
After a detour to Destin to dip our toes in the Gulf, we are now only about 100 miles away from Walt Disney World on I-75!
Now we're in Gainesville, where we'll find the University of Florida!

Here is a list of things to do in town.
I'm personally interested in the #1 result, Ichetucknee Springs State Park. The water looks beautiful!

Bats are cool.

I agree!! I'd also like to try out Devil's Millhopper Geological State Park and the Cade Museum for Creativity & Invention!

I skipped a couple of days due to missing the bottom step on Thursday and my ankle not being happy about that. But it's feeling better today and did some light walking (slowly - in the meandering style of my cat on her leash :cat::rolleyes1). It probably amounted to the equivalent of 15 "real" minutes, so I'll say 875.

Shall I go ahead and work up a thread for May? (I had said at the end of last month I could, but if someone has a May-specific theme they were hoping to use, I don't really care which month I do.)

Congratulations to sophy1995, piglet1979, and Twilight Sparkle for reaching "Really Close" Red.
And with the addition of 85 from the last few days for myself, I have now reached "Got here" Green!
The team as a whole has also reached "Got here" Green which means we have now seen this:

Yay! And the best part is, we have a few days left to enjoy the parks! Good job team! We earned this!
