Just back on 2/13

Our family of 4 just back from our stay. We were at WDW from 2/7/18 to 2/13/18.

Our 6th visit to WDW over many years. We always try to visit when crowds are low and have previously succeeded but these were the biggest crowds we've ever experienced every single day we were there - in every park.

We stayed at Martinique at CBR and the the construction there was more disruptive than what we were led to believe. The new, massive, Riviera resort is being constructed right across the water from Martinique and looms so large that it really takes away from the secluded "island feel" of the resort at that end. And although Martinique is the 1st bus stop at CBR and you always get a seat on the bus it is a LONG walk to the main tent through ugly construction for food from this island. We're rarely at the resort though, and it didn't bother the rest of my family as much as it did me.

The standby wait times weren't quite as bad as posted for each ride... so don't let 30 minute to hour waits deter you from trying if you don't have a FP.

Favorite new ride: TSM. OMGoodness that was a fun shooting gallery game. The line outside is largely in the sun (and very boring) so get in line for this early AM or in the evening if it's hot.

Keep checking your FP's for openings. If none are available for your group of 4, like us, look for FP's for 2.

Favorite overheard quote:
As we were strolling the World Showcase at Epcot a little girl was tugging at her mom and pointing to Spaceship Earth - "Look mommy! It's the great ball of China!!"
:)

Overall we had a magical time, although we're all a little more exhausted than usual from navigating through thick crowds. Have fun - whatever you see & do take your time & do it well and appreciate the level of Disney detail in every attraction.

Great weather time to be in the world. Always love our February trips, good weather and usually fewer crowds but not always. We had considered CBR for our trip last Aug but after I saw a few DIS vlogs, I didn't want to mess with it and as much as disney does such an awesome job with making construction areas look good, no real food court seemed to be a deal killer, even with some lower rates and gift cards. Yes, we always love the window decor, so fun - my kids love it!!
